They made the whole process much easier than I thought it would be. They were very efficient and communication was excellent; nothing was too much trouble and the staff were extremely helpful, professional and friendly and went above and beyond at every level. The house was sold in the first week of advertising which is remarkable.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Whitegates to others and 5 stars isn’t enough for the amazingly brilliant service I received.

TrustpilotThe sale was good but the conveyancing is an absolute shambles!
The conveyancing is a joke! The house was sold in March and recommended solicitors appointed for both parties. I think Will and the team have done their best but it’s now 1/2 way through August. Nobody can tell me why the transaction has not gone through and all I’ve had so far at best is mis-truths and at worst dishonest updates. I’m sorry to give the 1 star to the team at Barnsley but the whole process through the sale, mortgage advice and conveyancing are through Whitegates recommendations. Honestly, 6month plus (and still waiting) to process the sale is ridiculous.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We acknowledge the delays you have encountered following your purchasers using our recommended panel of solicitors. The service your buyers received, which in turn also had an effect on you has been noted and we agree was totally unacceptable. We have passed your review to our head office, who have said they will discuss this will the solicitors direct. We appreciate this has been a very long and stressful process for you, our sales team did all they could to chase solicitors and update you with the information they were being given as much as possible, but dealing with the legal side of the conveyancing process is out of our control and we have to rely on third parties, their service on this occasion clearly was not satisfactory and we have made them aware of this.

We turned up to their office yesterday on a very cold day and we were met with such lovely smiley, sweet friendly people. We were so moved as the whole team were super lovely and genuine! The process was so easy and straightforward and I wish we had known ages ago about Whitegates. I am from Barnsley originally and I was blown away by the friendliness and professionalism of Whitegates. Everything was so well organised, clear, easy to understand, stressfree with clear emails and constant contant with us, They are in my opinion the best estate agents I have used in my life.
