I’ve been meaning to write this review for quite some time, and I’m honestly a bit embarrassed it’s taken me a whole year to get around to it, but life had other plans! We completed on our house last year, right in the middle of a very hectic period that included the arrival of our baby and a full round of renovations. It’s only now, with things finally settling down, that I can properly reflect on just how great the experience was. From start to finish, the service we received from James at MG Whetstone was outstanding. Buying a home can be stressful at the best of times, but throughout the entire process, James was professional, responsive, and incredibly supportive. He kept everything moving smoothly, communicated clearly at every stage, and always made us feel like a priority, even when things got complicated (as they inevitably do!). What really stood out was his honesty and genuine approach. There was never any pressure, just helpful advice and a real understanding of what we were looking for. That made a huge difference and gave us confidence in every decision we made. Looking back now, a year on, we’re so happy in our home and genuinely grateful for the role James played in helping us get here. Even though this review is long overdue, it’s very well deserved. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend James to anyone buying or selling, an absolute pleasure to deal with!

Straightforward, helpful plain dealing

I was a property buyer, therefore not Martyn Gerrard’s client. However from the outset when being shown around properties I felt I was treated in an honest and straightforward way. Annie Clarke, Maria Morar and colleagues at Martyn Gerrard were very professional in handing a complicated sale of my shared ownership flat which involved consecutive staircasing and sale. From the first meeting I was given useful documentation for how the process would work and examples of similar sales completed by Martyn Gerrard. There was great communication throughout, from letting me know when viewings were happening to help with chasing solicitors and the housing association in the final stages. They kept me updated with new information and were calm throughout and good at soothing my anxieties when needed!
