GoogleLubna was extremely proactive and helpful. She made the flat-hunt fun and effective. For tenants, she couldn't do more to help find a place. For landlords, she couldn't do more to promote properties and get them rented to suitable tenants with minimum void periods. She was most helpful and gave excellent advice, most appreciated given the stressful nature of housing transactions. Most highly recommended.

Landlords don’t be fooled by the nice offices and friendly staff. They are ruthless. They take 13 percent + VAT for rent collection only and lock you in for 5 years. It’s not the tenants we need protecting from. It’s the ruthless agents.

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

Terrible service. Very disappointed. I found a short let property on their portal myself, the agent (Amir Abbasian) kept suggesting either awful properties, or ones over my budget. They were very quick to call back and close the deal but once the deal was made, I never once was able to speak directly to my agent Olivia Taylor, or anyone from Foxtons again. Repeated messages and email queries went unanswered. Every two weeks a new person would be in touch and all my queries would be ignored. The property was nice and in good condition but i paid Foxtons 350 pounds for the end of tenancy clean, and was slapped with a 600 pound cleaning claim on my deposit. The property was never cleaned and my landlord claimed the charges from my deposit. at least a dozen emails later, I still don't have a protection document number for my deposit. I was told my deposit was protected. I ws told I would be provided an inventory upon moving in. I was told the place would be cleaned at the end of my tenancy, for which i paid. None of the above happened. Still waiting for part of my deposit to be returned, even though they said it was transferred three weeks ago and should take 5 to 7 days to be credited. I've settled the dispute with my landlord now, even though it is extortion, but it seems even he was being cheated by Foxtons.

GoogleSo far very upset. Ivan the manager told me to cancel other agency so he can put my property on the market. Once I cancelled he decided to charge me double the commission at 3% incl. Vat. Most agents charge between 1 and 1.5%. EPC cost only £60 they charging £150. They do not fill in any information on the system, they want you to do their job...what we paying them for. Secondly I sent him documents, then he send me their login which doesn't. Thirdly he said I will be in touch this morning, apparently he is not available all day...aggravating, and dishonest so far!

GoogleWe chanced upon Foxtons as we were desperately looking for a property we can move in by November that was within our budget. And hold and behold we were sent Carmen Pollard, she is an amazing agent and we cannot fault her dedication in finding us our property. There is no such thing as a perfect property but with Carmen’s help we managed to get a property that works well for our needs. They give us all the information we need to know and even if we have stupid questions, she would undoubtedly answer us honestly. My husband needed a very specific clause in our tenancy agreement and Foxtons was one of the few estate agent that was wholeheartedly willing to accommodate us. We cannot be thankful enough.

GoogleI had the pleasure of using Foxtons as my estate agent for my first house purchase. I had a long sale process of around 7 months due to issues with solicitors, but Mercedes was extremely helpful and persistent. She had a professional attitude, assuaged any concerns, and answered all questions in a timely manner. There were moments where I thought the sale may fall through, but Mercedes stepped through to ensure open lines of communication between both parties. Suffice to say without Foxtons, I would not have been a homeowner any time soon!

As first time buyers, he made us feel at ease and helped us understand the process step by step the and he understood what exactly we were looking for. Always went above and beyond to keep us informed and work around our day to day lives to ensure we can get on the property ladder. All of the knowledge is served to you with his incredible charm and energy! We can't thank Dean enough and would definitely recommend!

GoogleHaven't yet rented an apartment with Foxtons, but just got off the phone with Sam in Lettings, who by far is the most helpful estate agent I have been in contact with in weeks. He was patient, attentive, really empathetic to our situation and really came across like he cared about finding us something that suits us. Many estate agents just jump straight into the conversation about money, quite pushy and do not make the effort of trying to find other options that suit. I'm sure Sam has a great career in customer service ahead of him, and I hope he is recognised for his efforts towards customers. Many thanks Sam in advance - you left us feeling a lot more positive in what is quite a depressing market at the moment. thank you!

GoogleMy partner and I are so pleased and grateful to Foxtons and Emmanuel Okeke (sales negotiator). We had previous bad experiences with a different estate agent so we were nervous changing to Foxtons but we were soon made to feel confident with our sale, viewing of the property was very prompt and it was dealt with in a very professional manner. used to be good but ever since the intro of the renters rights acts, property management service has dropped off a cliff. This bad for landlords because they get poor management, bad for tenants because they get poor representation, and bad for the industry because estate / letting agents are no longer accountable.

GoogleAlthough I didn’t end up renting a place through Foxtons North Finchley, I had a very good experience. The agents were friendly and efficient but not pushy, and their communication was prompt. Adam was especially helpful in providing information and setting up viewings. He was professional yet friendly, a good mix for good service to clients. If you’re looking for a place in the Finchley area and even beyond, do utilize their service.

TrustpilotDo not rent through Foxtons
If you are a renter, please do not use Foxtons. They are a scammy horrible company that only serves the interests of the landlord. They rented us an overpriced disgusting dump by using old out-of-date photos in the rental ad, and locked us into an abusively restrictive contract that made it impossible to leave the horrible dump that ruined my mental health. Do yourself a favour and stay away from these money hungry scammers.
