Very helpful bunch. I heard some bad stories of the past from my friends.. I am stubborn as they come so when looking I found one property I just really wanted to see and decided to bit the bullet and give them a call. Sooooo... glad I did! Peter whom met me and my partner on the viewing was very honest and helpful. I decided to make an offer. Marcia took forward my application whom explained everything. I moved last week, ok still haven't fully unpacked but its getting there. The Banbury team are so very helpful. Cheers

I have Never written a review before...but decided I would as the agency went above and beyond to protect my property. It was left after one year in poor condition and fought long and hard to first restore the property and. Then won the claim. Thank you. ..I expect the awful tenant to write how upset he is to have to put my house back together after his damage ...when I joined Martin and co. They said they would look after my home as best they can. They also said they would offer tenants as much help and support possible To enjoy there stay. But they do expect the rent paid and property returned in same condition . I felt this was fair a reasonable. They were friendly throughout ...the new tenants are in and really love it there I’m told. Great...

Listen to the warnings about Martin and Co

I was warned about Martin and Cos Banbury branch and I didn't listen. Biggest mistake Ive ever made. I was assured a long term let but have had a letter (not even a phonecall) telling me 9 months in theyre ending the tenancy with no reason provided. As a result of this massive inconvenience Martin and Co have pocketed all the fees from registering (I have only just paid off the loan I took out for these) and I now have to find somewhere else to live. To make it worse, the day after I received the letter, i used an internet search engine to find potential new properties and mine was the first to pop up with the rent having an extra £50 on top. I work full time and this unnecassary stress has made me quite ill. Banburys office is known to be particularly poor but I didnt think they made working people homeless on a whim. I really can't emphasize how much to avoid this company. Their staff are rude and I was threatened with losing my deposit when i said I wanted to be at the property to warn potential tenants about how Ive been treated personally.

My experience on this branch was…

This branch has been surprisingly positive towards me and my two children The staff must’ve changed as I’ve not had any staff being rude or unpleasant. I’ve been with Martin and co for a year and will carry on being with them until I have an issue with them. Don’t think this branch gets enough recognition, from what I read the reviews are from the same person. It’s obviously a hit or miss with this one.

I have purchased a one bed flat through Tom at Martin and Co. He could not have been more helpful throughout the entire process. I had some issues selling my previous property (which was nothing to do with martin and Co) and he went out of his way to help me resolve them, had he not done so my sale easily could have fallen through. He thoroughly explained processes which helped me make informed decisions and understand rather than just being told that was how it was. He replied to all of my emails within the hour even if he did not have an answer just to let me know he was looking into it for me. I recommend, Tom, and Martin and Co very highly and would certainly use them in the future. Although I ran into difficulties selling and buying as usually occurs, I received an honest opinion and was supported throughout the whole process.

From someone who worked for this company. Avoid and run a mile. Landlords, tenants and contractors all ripped off. And, yes, even me a member of the staff. I’m sure there are ethical estate agents in Banbury, this isn’t one of them.

Couldn't recommend her enough. Had a very poor experience with a different letting agent in Banbury and M & C and Grace are leagues above.

I have just completed on a sale which was handled by Tom Mizen and his hard working team. Their conduct and professionalism through out has been exceptional. All dealings have been open and honest and I have been kept informed through all stages of the process from negotiations, through conveyancing to completion. We have used Martin & Co for around 8 years now to let our apartment in Banbury. in all this time we have never had a month without a tenant and although problems have been rare when they have occurred they have been very swiftly and efficiently dealt with. The staff turn over is low so there is a very good continuity within the business. We would definitely recommend them to friend and family

Obvious fake 1 post only positive reviews, if you're a tenant check out some genuine reviews on line about this unethical shower. They seem friendly enough at first, if not a little inept. What follows is nothing but problems, incompetence, invasions of privacy and a lack of the very basics you should expect. Not forgetting the thinly disguised theft at the end of your tenancy. AVOID at all costs.

I have to agree with Dan. I am not sure how real these reviews are above. I would seriously avoid them. We too have reported them to the ombudsman. Seems to be a common occurance with them. They also like to blame bad reviews on other estate agents! Rather than actually taking the reviews, thinking about them and then go and work on them to create a better practice. Quite childish really.

Lovely boss, quick and efficient team. Any problems reported via their problem-reporting portal were dealt with quickly. Fair pricing, and received full deposit after the end of my tenancy. Only gripe is that sometimes they forgot to tell me about viewing appointments until the same day, but this was never an issue for me.
