Professional calm attitude

Abi at Finders Keepers is the most professional lettings advisor I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with a few. What was a very stressful process and not straight forward, Abi made each step of the journey a lot easier with her calm professional attitude and her knowledge of the letting process. I will definitely be recommending Finders Keepers in future.

Utter Lies! So Unprofessional

Firstly I would give them a 0 if I could! I have never come across a letting agent who is so unprofessional before. I enquired about a property with the Bicester office her name was Holly. I found her to be incredibly rude, unprofessional and deceitful about the whole process with an enquiry on renting a property. She was very abrupt with myself and a colleague, didn’t return calls or emails and IGNORED my calls as she would answer to another mobile other than mine. I asked to view the property several times and was told it wasn’t possible even though it was empty and still being advertised as on the market! The property now says let agreed and she still hasn’t informed me, I would have been totally fine if she had told me from the start that the process was already going through rather than lying about the whole “I’m waiting on the landlord to get back to me”. I feel she was saving the property for someone else. So disgusted.

My partner and I were looking to move to a new rental. I spoke to Abbie Young in the Banbury branch and explained our situation and exactly what we were looking for. In good timing Abbie came back to me and passed on details of our dream rental house. We had a visit promptly organised and that same day Abbie advised we had been accepted. Abbie answered all questions we had promptly and was so friendly. Rachel Watts was really efficient in sending us the contracts to sign. Then Josh Bennett has been brilliant with the check in and any after care questions / requests. I’d give the Banbury Finders Keepers 10 out if 10 for everything. Thank you so much guys.

I would definitely recommend Finder Keepers for anyone looking to rent within Banbury or the surrounding area. The whole team were great at communicating with me in a timely and professional manner when I was looking to move to a more appropriate rental property. They were very understanding of my needs and arranged viewings and appointments in a way that allowed my boyfriend, who was in hospital at the time, to be involved also. I always felt like the details were being taken care of through the contract signing process. We now rent a lovely flat managed by Finders Keepers and have found Rebecca Woods to be particularly friendly, approachable and helpful whenever we have questions or need to address an issue at the property. Is this Victorian Britain in the Industrial Revolution?

So bad … I wish I had read these reviews prior to renting through this company. The house we rented was really expensive over 2k. It was terrible the roof leaked, mouldy windows, stunk of cigarettes, dangerous oven which was a fire risk, found a razer and metal tools all over the mud pit garden, unusable conservatory due to leak, toilets were disgusting, central heating oil tank leaking !!!! … so we moved in I cleaned it up and complained about the issues above all of which were ignored except the oven after I paid an electrician to make an assessment and the oil tank as it was an environmental hazard !!! Now after all that we have moved out and they are keeping our deposit !!! This company takes advantage of people and should be made accountable… do not use

I live overseas and was looking for a rental property in Banbury. I had been in touch with several local letting agents, and though they were pleasant, on the whole they were not very responsive. My negative experiences changed when I called Finders Keepers Banbury and was put through to Padraig Murphy. I can't praise him enough for his professionalism. He was great! He was responsive, always contacted me on time despite a 6 hour time difference, and he explained each step of the renting application process clearly. In response to your reply, I wanted to reinforce that my family member did not "shout" on the phone. While he was on the phone there were witnesses to the call who all stated he simply questioned her morals in a very calm manner. I am appalled that he is being accused of this. Whilst on the call, the manager was backtracking and changing her story, stating that we were not told that we had to put a deposit down before viewing the property. Also, I would like to mention that I did not have one property on my shortlist, I had 5 and by the time I got in they were gone.

A frustrating and stressful experience

Queuing all night just for the chance to book a viewing already sets a stressful tone, especially for students balancing multiple responsibilities. When the time finally came to reach the front of the line, they were told there was only one property left for their group number and that they had to pay a week’s rent as a holding fee, without even seeing the place first. The claim that properties were disappearing fast seemed like a pressure tactic designed to make renters act impulsively. This approach feels morally questionable. Asking for money upfront before allowing a proper viewing forces students into a rushed decision, often when they’re sleep-deprived and stressed. A responsible rental agency should prioritise fairness, transparency, and giving renters time to make an informed choice, rather than using high-pressure tactics to secure a quick commitment. In this case, the agency seems more interested in locking down tenants quickly than ensuring they find a suitable, safe place to live. For students, who are often financially and emotionally vulnerable, this feels exploitative. Rental agencies should operate with more integrity, offering a transparent and respectful process.

The fact that for a university…

The fact that for a university accommodation it is made first come first serve is ridiculous. You have instilled such a fear in students of potentially being homeless they are waiting outside all night in the freezing cold in late November. It is insane that you have made people wait outside waiting for it to be open and have it in person when other companies wouldn’t even risk it. I saw people who have been sick while waiting because they are trying to keep warm and it isn’t keeping them safe. Theres no worry for peoples health and peoples safety. Very disappointing.

Been tenants with Finders Keepers for near enough ten years between me and my hubby, and have always found them to be professional and courteous. If anything has ever needed doing at the flat FK has responded to these issues in a timely fashion and with minimum disruption. Rachel has been liasing with us for the last few years and she’s been brilliant. Always notifies whenever an inspection is due or access needed to the property. Our property manager, Rebecca Woods, was extremely kind and available from the very beginning.
