TrustpilotWilson Auction False Wilson's Assured Report and Poor Customer Service…
Wilson Auction provides Wilson's Assured service which validates state of car for buyers. Online buyers rely on this record to inform their bid pricing. However, on purchasing a car, I discovered that the car had 'Check Engine Light On', which was not on their report. On approaching the team, the manager did not reply my email for 1 month, then called to inform me that the assurance only covers up until the car leaves the yard. Neglecting the fact the majority of online buyers send recovery drivers to collect the car and will not bid same price on a car that has 'Check Engine Light On' and one that doesn't. Overall, I employ all prospective online buyers who do not intend to collect car in person to avoid this site, as their vehicle report might not reflect the state of the car and are only covered until car is collected. NB: Car engine light can be cleared with OBD device and will reappear once car is driven (so, either their assessment device was faulty on this occasion or it was a deliberate fraudulent sales scam). Belfast office - They are quick to take your money then its radio silence. No one in this company seems to be capable of responding to a simple email. Exceptional a customer is when you buy something you should be able to get it but wilsons are reluctant to release the item bought. Pathetic customer service

GoogleTotal dump they apparently lift All vehicles that have no tax In the west of Scotland it took me over 20 phone calls to eventually get my call answered I did leave a message on the voicemail to which no one responded to you would think if they have the contract responsibility for the West of Scotland they would have someone available to answer calls or at very least respond to voicemail. My car, which was left with the garage, had been left on a large area of pavement and was taken within 4 days of being left there. I was charged £480 to get my car back even though I am entitled to free road tax due to being disabled after sustaining injuries during the Iraq war serving this country.

GoogleDislike the way they price items! You bid , you win THEN there is anything up to 30% ‘buyers premium ‘ ADDED ON then THEY ADD VAT TO BOTH then they add a ‘ hammer price’ then they add VAT to that! Your total is typically 50% more than your winning bid price! Why cant the price you bid just be the price you pay so you know where you stand? They can take charges off that. Bid increments for low value items are too high at £5. Some items you could almost buy brand new by time all charges pile up.

Company appear helpful when you ring but refer you to email someone. then is unresponsive to emails and don't return calls. Very frustrating when you spend significant money. If you cannot respond in a timely manner then hire more staff. Completely DISRESPECTFUL ignoring your buyers and leaving them in limbo. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

I took my Nissan QuashQai on Wednesday and it sold on Friday. The staff were really helpful and professional she explained what would happen and what I needed to do. It was very simple and quick as a customer you do very little. The member of staff kept me updated and I got a good result. For a hassle free helpful experience I would definitely take my car here again. Thank you

we have just started using Wilson’s car auction in Telford. It’s got to be said Wilsons are very professional. The staff can’t do enough to help you and a very polite and helpful and the standards of cars are very high which is what we’re looking for. first time there on Friday and bought three cars , we will be definitely back the next Friday 👌well done Wilsons keep up the good work👏👏👏

I recently participated in a Wilsons Auctions event and was notified that I had won a vehicle, complete with charges and VAT breakdown. After the bid was upgraded from “Provisionally Won” to “Won,” I reasonably expected the sale to proceed. Instead, I was met with vague responses, delays, and a complete lack of accountability.

Their website is absolutely shocking at the moment, but even normally to register for sales it is nearly impossible, I have been trying for the last hour and it is the same thing everytime. It is buggy as hell, it never seems to go through to the payment page for some reason it is impossible to register a new auction registration on an existing account.

Very BAD experience. Want to bid on one of property and tried Online Bidding. But app was not working. Tried to contact on telephone but no one pickup the phone. One person did pick and told me that their IT department have an issue and have to wait to bid as it will be resolved. I kept calling but again no picks up the phone. And when picked up, was for telling me that bidding is finished. Seems suspicious, feels like they don't want general people to participate in the bid as it was for some of specific people only. A day before the auction, I had called their office to discuss, what are the options, if Online bidding did not work. They assured me that it will work and don't have to worry about it. But at the end, they sell the property where they want to sell it. Very Bad experience.

GoogleI was interested in a property and emailed via zoopla for further information, time was tight so after a couple of days with no reply I emailed Wilsons directly. Still no response so I then text the property department directly and got the information a day later. I was then sent options for a 15 minute viewing but all were the following morning/afternoon so I made an appointment and had a mad rush to get there during my work lunch hour. On arriving at the property the agent had been told I had cancelled! Luckily there was a gap in which I was able to view anyway. I would have expected far better customer service from a company when you could potentially be spending a huge amount of money with them. Very bad first impressions. Needless to say I won't be bidding.

I bought car advertised 51k December 2018 Renault Kadjar , I checked Wilson’s report , about condition , said all good no problems, Engin gearbox fine , I paid, collected car knew problem immediately as car very hard to start almost no Petrol in it drove to Petrol station a few miles up the road Car had no heat, ( sign head gasket no compression ) put Petrol in switched off car, paid for fuel came back out to start car, wouldn’t start spinning over no compression then battery went flat this was 5.30 pm put jump leads on at 7pm as I asked and rang for Assistants, also rang back Wilson’s no Answer ,kept ringing left message , I called friend from Dublin for lift home he got to me at 9.30 home 10.45, ( Engin completely gone as I was told head gasket was gone , This was not on their report in the Wilson assured , which we pay indemnity , I told this to Keith Murdock Manager, eventually when I got put through to him 2 days after as the girls in the office kept saying he was busy, that the report was wrong and I wouldn’t have bought the car if I knew it was hard to start and had no hot air blown, He told me I shouldn’t have picked up the car and their useless Wilson’s assured report will only put car into 1st 2 nd and 3rd gear in yard, and it was fine , and it’s an Auction and there nothing he can do for me as it was a finance repossess car.! ( as if that explains everything ) and it’s from a good source , My problem is it wasn’t Disclosed on the report , This is not what I bought , He then start getting very load and Aggressive with me on the phone and told me he doesn’t have to listen to this and hung up, 3 days earlier he was ringing me about the car asking me will I go a bit more on my bid as it wasn’t enough and he’ll see if he will get it for me been as nice as pie, ( well such a change when a little problem Accrues ) horrible, nasty , I have bought loads of cars from them as this is how I get treated. They will just blank and Avoid you when you have a problem. Wilson’s in Dublin will give back the money the following day .

How have these people even got an auctioneer license? The descriptions in their auction of Ashbrook Garden Centre stock are shocking: very non-specific, incorrect names/numbers, lack of details on dimensions & voltages, vague narratives, spelling errors, no reserves on anything, and prices too good to be true.
