Bought a car and wouldn’t buy again

Bought a car and wouldn’t buy again. Try to pay for it and never got a call or invoice from the company. Then suddenly the next morning I got a text saying I was at risk of losing the car because I didn’t pay. Collected the car and there was rattling noises coming from the engine, it later turned out the engine vacuum pump was missing. There was no information of the car being faulty or having any noise from the engine when buying. Rang the customer service to confront them about the issue and they just said it was my problem now. All I will say is very quick to take your money and then go silent after that. Car was meant to be in perfect condition and turned out it was far from that. I will never buy from them again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend. Even if it all looks perfect it most likely isn’t.

Absolute cowboys passing on rubbish to others. Fast to take your money though...the auctioneers who are selling the items have no idea about the product just pumping up the product based on original price. There is a reason the item is gone to auction. Because its fla'd out. Be very very careful. There is no come back. Its all rubbish with buyers premium

An amazing, professional team who go out of their way to assist and help achieve a sale. Both Lewis and Adam helped me a great deal in getting a difficult commercial property appraised and marketed. Although it did not sell in the auction, they were determined and kept trying to find a buyer, keeping me informed at every step of the way, which resulted in a sale being agreed after the auction at a super price. Would highly recommend Wilsons at Dalry.

Beware of vehicles bought here

I bought a used pickup truck in Portadown, they charged fees on fees to start, the original £8k turned intonearly £11. I couldn't do a full inspection, but was sold as a fully working vehicle. Afterwards (about 2weeks) a garage inspected it and refused to let me take it out of the yard. Basically the chassis was completely rotted through, the fuel tank was being held on by a wire and the brakes were working on magic. It's a miracle I wasn't killed on a road somewhere. I rang them up about it and was basically told, that's your problem. They have no problems selling dangerous vehicles and taking anyone's money. In the end I had to sell it for parts and I'm still paying back the loan for the experience . Thanks Wilson you unscrupulous lot

Brought 2 invoices 3 months ago and…

Brought 2 invoices 3 months ago and have been trying to arrange shipping every since to no avail. Booked a courier collection which failed (lost money on that). They then charged me an additional £15 for these two invoices (packaging fees or something). No responses via email, cannot get through to them over the phone, Lost so much money on this firstly for the invoices themselves, then the £15 packaging fees and thirdly a failed courier charge and it seems I won't be able to even get these items. How are they getting away with this once you pay for your items it's radio silence no hope of getting them.

Absolute scammers! Fraudulent descriptions ruined my reputation and cost me money!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS AUCTION! This is the SECOND time Wilson Auctions in Queensferry has explicitly lied in their catalogue. They listed vehicles as having "all documents present," but both times they sold me cars with absolutely NO paperwork.To make matters worse, I already had a buyer lined up for this car. Because of Wilsons' lies and missing documents, the deal fell through. The client was furious about the delay and the lack of paperwork, and as a result, I completely lost my reputation and credibility in their eyes, along with my profit.I am now facing massive legal and financial problems because of their fraudulent descriptions. Their customer service completely ignores complaints. This is not a mistake; it is a systematic scam and a deliberate deception of buyers. Avoid Wilson Auctions Queensferry at all costs unless you want to lose your money, your clients, and your business reputation!

I visited your well appointed offices…

I visited your well appointed offices today in Dalry, Ayrshire to hand in my V5 for a car which had been collected from me on Monday 19-05-25 by a collection agent. (Car is end of lease - put to auction). I stood in your reception area for over 20 minutes being totally ignored by all of your 10 staff sitting at their desks, with one young person handling things at the front counter.

Bunch of robbing cowboys!!

My daughter took her car to this place following a voluntary termination on her HP. The car WAS in pristine condition when she left it, it was looked over 1 week later and they then sent her a bill for £640 for damage. Luckily she has photos from when she left it there... showing NO damage. Some of the photos they sent her are not even her car!!!!!

I just wanted to highlight the excellent level of customer service I experienced from the Wilsons team in Scotland. I had recently won an auction item and went to collect it, but unfortunately there were some issues that meant I couldn’t get the item on the day. I later emailed to raise the problem. What happened next was a really rare level of customer service that you don’t often see. A member of the team, Thomas, went out of his way to hand deliver the auction item to me, a 40 minute round trip, and did so out of hours. He was very apologetic and made a genuine effort to put things right. For context, I imagine most customers spend hundreds or even thousands. My auction item was a grand total of £20. For them to go that far out of their way for such a low-value purchase is a real credit to everyone involved. I’d give more stars if Google would let me. Well done, Wilsons Scotland, I wish more companies treated their customers as well as you do.

Customer service none existence

Customer service was getting terrible last year, and now they literally stopped addressing issues. I bought few weeks ago some small stuff trough couple auctions. And i requested to pack all those items in to one package for collection. It's not enough that they didn't packed two out of 3 invoices that i requested. So when i asked (a week ago) what was the reasons for that, i didn't got any answer. I contacted them again yesterday and ask the same thing again as i have no clue where's me won lots. Did they lost them, or do they just waiting their turn for package. My email was forwarded to a Craig, manager of the packaging department, but as the last time, he didn't bothered to comeback to me with explanation of what's going on. And if he will come back, most likely the excuse will be "sorry, we are very busy right now" this is no longer acceptable response. I'm hearing this for last year. Millions worth company can't higher more staff? Disgusting greed.

They sent my parcel to different part of the UK by changing the label. I have tried to ask the reason and asked for return of my parcel, no help. Useless. They did not even bother contacting me, apologising and refunding my monies. Beware. The Dalry outlet take much of their cars from Eastern Western Motor Group (pretty much all cars that are cosmetically not fit for the forecourt) who want market value for their cars but don't price in the many dents, scratches, chips, rust spots and other damage that nearly every car comes with.

Bought a grade 2 car through Wilsons auctions that turned out to have a red oil light displayed. It also had 2 flat tyres which needed tyre valves replaced, as they wouldnt inflate. After calling out the AA they told us that a degraded wetbelt was the cause. We transported the car back to Wilsons within an hour of purchase but Wilsons wouldn't re-auction it for us, unless we entered it as "sold as seen" and without any reserve. This is the same car they sold us an hour earlier clainming it didnt have any faults. Do not trust this company.

It is shameful and a disgrace "Wilson's Auctions" benefit greatly from those who are struggling financially in these hard times while owning a car in the west of Scotland, "Wilson's Auctions" said that they are only a disposal agent on behalf of NSL Ltd & DVLA, so let's just get this right? All vehicles stolen by NSL/DVLA trucks are stored on your premises! In which you partly benefit greatly in many ways, these trucks are also stored on your premises? So your B.S. doesn't wash with me and anyone else can see you for what you are. Hiddens fees

Recently won a car on the online auction and it clearly states online theres no fees for cars over 5000 pound and that all VAT was included, I then received an invoice and they added 10% charge ontop of the price and they also charged me 20% VAT on the charge 😂, I understand if there’s a fee but this being my first time on the auction site, I would expect the information on the website to be correct especially since you expect me to pay a 500 pound deposit.

Unprofessional

Sent a vehicle to Wilsons to auction for us. Watched it go through several times, apparently sold each time but the bids were fake, taken off the wall by the auctioneer. Eventually an offer was made which we accepted immediately. We didnt receive payment FOR TWO MONTHS and only after pestering them for it. No paperwork or receipt received, just a bank transfer.
