Noisy

The noise level at the site at Neville Hill, Leeds is like living at the back of a field where they are landing a helicopter - except that it goes on all day and has been for months. I can hear all the reversing alarms and large machinery and the air vibrates even inside our house with the windows and doors shut. Complained and they said 'We note your comments regarding the vibrations from the machinery, whilst we appreciate large machinery is use, factors as such are out of Gleeson Homes control'. They are not in control of the noise or vibrations from the machinery that they are using.

After viewing Gleesons Moy bungalows we decided to downsize and accepted an offer for our house so that we could make an offer at The Paddock at Coxhoe. We were dismayed to discover that timescales had been delayed leaving us potentially homeless. Adrian determindly pursued the option of us being allowed to secure our preferred plot with an Early Bird reservation giving us some security. He's a star!

Buying my first home - John @ Bracks Farm

I have recently bought a 3 bed Lisburn at Bracks Farm. I cannot thank John enough for all of his help and support through this journey. From the minute I stepped in the show home in January to now (August), John has been there and made the experience of buying my first home an exceptional experience. If I have needed anything - John has been right there to help. If it wasn’t for John I wouldn’t have known where to start the house buying process. I can’t thank John enough - he is one of a kind.

Highly recommend Gleeson at Birkwood

My wife and I have now been living in our new Gleeson home for a month. We needed extra space for our children and really liked the new build designs at Birkwood in Mareham-Le-Fen. Angie Lawrence was our point of contact the whole way through the process and she was fantastic. She was very personable and took a genuine interest in helping us find the right home for us. We found the process very smooth and any bumps in the road (from our side) were well received and Angie was understanding and supportive.The site manager at Birkwood, Danny, was also excellent and took time to show us around and answer any questions or ease any concerns. Minor snagging have been quickly sorted out with the knowledge that any others would also be sorted out.We have bought a new build in the past in Kent but found Gleeson to be a step above in all aspects. Fantastic service

We’ve bought a new build before but the aftercare was slow. From Matt fixing the snags to Andrew arranging the work I could not fault the service and speed. If we ever move I’d happily buy a Gleeson Home again! Also a big shout out to Natalie Strong who waited with us on move day so she could hand the keys over at the earliest point she could. I couldn’t be happier with the service provided.

You can fall in love with a housr

We moved in 6 weeks ago to the Longford and it's amazing , I never thought I could fall in love with the house and yet every day I am a little more in love than yesterday .I feel like being on a permanent holiday and the fact that it was a blank canvas with only the kitchen and bathrooms done, was better than expected as we can now choose everything as we want it.We started with underfloor heating and the lvt flooring throughout the house with wooden staircase . The area we are in is like an oasis , so peaceful and quiet . Gleeson Sales advisor Louise has been our anchor throughout and will always be grateful to her. Liam, the site manager has always listened and got on with any snags( very minor) as soon as they appeared. I am so grateful for this house and for my family.

Good Customer Service

A family friend introduced Gleeson Homes to me and asked me to speak with Karen. I rang Karen on a Tuesday, not knowing it was her off day. Karen gave me a call back as soon as she resumes the office the next working day. We had a conversation, and she booked an appointment with me.I and my wife went to Vickers Grange development in Bircotes to take the first step of getting a new home. Karen was very helpful. She took us around, gave us the necessary information and support we required to getting our new home. She was very welcoming and kind to us.I would say we received good customer service from Karen. I will definitely recommend Karen & Gleeson Home to my friends and family.

Fantastic Experience with John at Bracks Farm

Our sales exec John at Bracks Farm has been unbelievable. His customer service is next to none, he has answered every question (trust me there’s been a lot as first time buyers) with as much detail as humanly possible. John has come through on every promise, we’ve been in our home a month and he’s popped round multiple times to make sure everything is ok again answering any questions and resolving any issues we have had. Despite being very busy with this large site he always makes time for you. John has made buying our first house an extremely easy and pleasurable process and I couldn’t recommend this site more! We bought our first home with Gleeson, Amaara helped make the process as smooth as possible and she was so helpful with explaining the process to us. She helped us from the very beginning with getting us in contact with a mortgage advisor, we wouldn’t be in our first home now if it wasn’t for her. A real credit to the team. We moved in quickly, any snags we found prior to moving in were done for the day we moved in. Any snags with the house we’ve had since moving in, Mark and the team have been quick to arrange and sort. The team here have been great. Everything feels well looked after.

Excellent experience

We moved up from Somerset to the Rainsborough Park Development. Considering it was such a huge move thanks to Sharon in the Sales Office and Neil the Site Manager it was stress-free. These guys are exceptional and an asset to the Company. Since we moved in they have been on hand in case we have any queries and nothing is too much trouble for them. The house is absolutely beautiful and we are so happy with it. Thank you Sharon and Neil you are superstars and we are so grateful to you. We look forward to many more years in our home and making more memories in it

It’s been 64 days and I can still smell the fresh paint…

We initially visited the Rainsborough Park development to have a general ‘nosey’ and see what type of property would work for us, whether it would ultimately be with Gleason or another developer. 64 days later… we completed. Sharon was exceptionally helpful in the sales office. From explaining how the process would work via part-exchange, to supporting us right through to the completion date, I cannot fault her in any way and she is clearly an asset to the site. In the week leading up to completion, we met Neil, the site manager, as he gave us the tour of our property. His knowledge and professionalism came across immediately and he was very responsive to any questions that we had. A massive thanks go out to both of them.

After being very disappointed with other sites in the Bishop area, and the Sales Managers. We came across Monach Glen site, and Deborah. From the moment we stepped into her office it felt different, she cared. We wanted a 4 bed, so she sent us to another site to look at a finished one. We had sold our property, and we wanted this one, so we could proceed with the deposit. We lived over 3 hours away, so Deborah organised as much as she could when we were on hols in the area.Deborah made a very stressful situation so much easier. We can’t thank her enough. Still horrendous ... 2 years later

I wrote a review in June 2022 regarding the horrendous customer service from Gleeson. In that review I mentioned that I couldn't comment on the quality of the house because I still hadn't been in it. There were endless snags, ranging from cosmetic things where the builders clearly have no pride in their work, to boulders and shards of glass being left in my garden, to broken extractor fans. Trying to get these resolved was a joke, as they just deflect until you're out of warranty. When the contractors came to lay the final road surface, no one bothered to tell us, they just blocked our road off and left us all stuck. The contractors were constantly screaming at each other, swearing in front of kids, and even used my outside tap to fill their buckets up. I decided to sell my house and it went on the market in December 2023. I found a buyer in February 2024. No chain either end, nice plain sailing, right? Wrong. Gleeson claim to be Freehold and yet you need a 'deed of variation' from them and the management company (for the estate charge - keeping grass cut etc, not that they do), because of the restrictive covenants. This costs you £500 for the two companies to sign. This took over two months to get sorted because Gleeson and Kingston Property Services took so long to bother to reply to my solicitor. I nearly lost the sale because of this. Not to mention this is not disclosed anywhere in the contracts when you initially buy the property.Please do yourself a favour and go literally ANYWHERE else. I have never been more grateful to never have to deal with these absolute cowboys ever again.
