Michael Jones & Company facilitated the purchase of our new home and we are very pleased with the service we received throughout the process. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and took care over our business, providing useful insight into the local area throughout our search. Having sold our property in a few days, Ben Maylin was great at keeping us informed about new properties coming onto the market, showing us around and ultimately helping us to find the property we are now moving to. Mark Durrant provided us with a professional service, keeping us informed at every stage of our purchase. Liaising with the seller and solicitors efficiently. If we any had any questions about our purchase he was happy to advise or find out. Michael Jones provided a great service all round.

Excellent all round service.

I very rarely write reviews however I was so impressed with the service I received from James (Lettings Manager of the Worthing Branch) his negotiators, the property management team and accounts department that a review was the least I could do to say a massive thank you to all those involved for making my life and the whole process as easy as possible through what was a very stressful time for me.Not only did they do exactly what they said they would do but nothing was ever a problem and if issues did arise they were dealt with immediately whilst keeping my mind at rest and also they did go the extra mile in helping me when my back was against the wall but it was the constant reassurance and no b**s** that meant the most from start to finish throughout this process. I have dealt with Estate Agents most of my life but I can truly say this whole team in Worthing was exceptional in what they did and still do for me unlike every other agent who over promises and always under delivers and that is why I had to write this review .Again, a massive thank you to all of you for everything you did for me and the excellent service you still provide today whilst managing my property.

Efficient but caring too

Great communication

I bought my last property through Michael Jones & Company and Darren Belchamber was my main point of contact as the sale progressed. Darren has great negotiation and communication skills and always followed up any queries or issues rapidly. If he wasn't available when I rang, he always returned my call. He liaised well with the rest of the chain and was able to give me up-to-date information when my solicitor wasn't! Although I have no experience of selling through this agent, I would have no hesitation in recommending them as good communication and a timely response to any issues or potential delays are vital for both buyers and vendors.

This review is related to a specific employee in particular - Rob Steward.Throughout the process of getting the deposit return, Rob has been extremely prompt with communication while maintaining a professional voice.He has contacted me by phone in regard to my first email, clearly indicating of his intentions to resolve the matter on a mutually-beneficial basis.Despite this process being rough for some, Rob has helped smooth it out, with prompt communication between both parties (us and landlord).It is important to distinguish between the outcome of the deposit return and the way the agent handles it, and Rob has been exemplary. Despite my infrequent responses, Rob has always replied immediately, clearly indicating his professionalism and will to get the job done.I wish we would have had Rob as an agent from the start, would have made the tenancy a smoother process!

I have been very impressed with Michea Jones and their agents.

I have been very impressed overall with Michael Jones estate agents in George V Avenue. Their point of access through the reception has been warm and I was connected quickly to the agent dealing with my property. Also, nothing was too much trouble. They provided a letter for myself to end a gym membership in Kent. My agent Louis Griffiths was excellent. He was professional, knowledgeable with a calm and pleasant manner. He has effective communication skills. Louis communicated with his vendor and myself at the different stages of the buying process so I felt supported and knew:know what was: is happening.After the whole selling: buying process the difference between Kent and West Sussex is tangible and West Sussex wins!I am looking forward to living enjoying my retirement in West Sussex in my new home.

House sale by Michael Jones estate agents Goring-by-Sea Branch

In the spring of 2023 we intended to sell my 'Late fathers' 3 bedroom house located in Durrington, Worthing and I had no idea which estate agent I was going to use in order to sell the property. I arranged appointments with a number of agents to provide a valuation. Up to this point most of the estate agents that had visited the property gave valuations of between £350K to £375K with one agent valuing the property slightly higher. I knew that these were difficult times economically and it was a buyers market. I was still unsure which estate agent to choose to sell the property. (Can I just say here that all other agents that I met, I found to be very pleasant and I had no issues with them). I was talking to a friend in the summer of this year and he recommended 'Michael Jones' at the Goring-by-Sea branch since they were selling his property at the time. My friend stated that I would get honesty from them and receive good advice. Since 'Michael Jones' were also one of the most well known estate agents in this area I decided to contact them to arrange an appointment and valuation. In August of this year I met Paul Jackson who viewed the property and between us we decided upon a realistic 'Guide price' for the property and I was very happy with everything else we discussed and I Instructed Paul to place the property on the market. I completed the questionaire which provided information required for the sale and gave this to Tina Olliver at the Goring-by-Sea branch along with all other required paperwork and documents. Tina dealt with this very quickly and efficiently. Within a few days of instructing 'Michael Jones' Paul Jackson visited the property to measure up and take photos and a week after instructing them the property 'went live' on the market. There is quite a lot that the agent and seller has to do before the property is listed including the inspection for the 'EPC' certificate but Michael Jones got on with the job immediately. I will reiterate that these are difficult times currently and I knew that I was selling the house at probably the worst possible time due to the relatively high interest rates. However, we may have had luck on our side but Michael Jones found a very keen potential buyer in just under 2 weeks from the house going on the market. Again bearing in mind the difficult times at the moment and after reducing the price we agreed upon a sale price. At this stage both myself and the buyers instructed our solicitors to deal with the legal side of matters which took around 8 weeks or so which is perfectly normal. The sale completed without any problems although I will say there was no 'chain'. Throughout the sale of the property, I had my own questions and so did the buyers regarding various small details and 'Michael Jones' handled all of this very quickly and efficiently. If I phoned the agent to ask a question and Paul was out of the office at an appointment my message was always passed on to Paul. Communication between myself and the buyers through 'Michael Jones' was excellent. The buyers viewed the property around 6 times throughout to look at various things and 'Michael Jones' always gave me plenty of notice on each occasion by phone call and by email. Sometimes Louis Griffths from Michael Jones accompanied the buyers to the property and sometimes a young lady I think was called Gemma ? (sorry if I have remembered the name incorrectly). After every viewing by the buyers I was given a phone call to provide feedback etc so communication was excellent at all stages. There is obviously a great team at Michael Jones at Goring-by-Sea. The entire house sale from the initial meeting with Paul Jackson and the meeting with Tina Olliver to process the paperwork etc through to completion day happened with no problems whatsoever. The buyers were great and Michael Jones were great. The solicitors were great also. I can't actually find any fault so I am going to Give Michael Jones at Goring-by-Sea and all of the team 10/10. Well done.
