Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. Agent kept on top of everything regarding our purchase and was as reliable, competent and informative throughout. Jake was fantastic and made finding and sorting a mortgage easy - easily one of the most informative and all round best financial advisors I've ever dealt with. I can absolutely recommend both Jake and the team whether you are buying or selling :)

Avoid,avoid on all costs I just rented a property from them and they said it will becleaned all work will be done We received keys the house is filthy, no paints for dirty walls, broken toilet contacted them to fix but been a week no response, Please avoid renting through connells.

Stay away - they are more interested in selling themselves than your house.

I contacted a branch of Connells in January with a view to choosing them as agents to sell my recently deceased sister's house. I felt in my meeting with them the agent made too big a deal about their success as large national company and their innovative sales methods and chose not use them and gave feedback to the agent. A few weeks later once the house was advertised by a rival local agency I was phoned by Connells trying to interest me in buying a house. I feel this was totally inappropriate use of my contact details. Rather than a giving a direct apology the young man (he sounded young) gave me a similiar spiel about the wonders of Connells I heard before. My advice is stay away from the corporate monolith that is more interested in selling itself than selling your house.

Absolutely positive experience

Absolutely positive experience. Please don't listen if someone says different it is marketing. I've been almost 7 months with this agency and I have only super positive experience. Sam, Ateja and a gentleman i forgot his name( i hope he forgives me ) super helpful, went above and beyond even out of working hours, on short notices honestly just can't find anything i could of complain. Absolutely awesome experience and would definitely recommend 👌 👍

Appalling service

Made an appointment to view a property. For 3 days in a row they sent me a reminder to attend the viewing. I arrived & waited in the bitterly cold weather for someone to arrive. On phoning the company I was told someone would be with me in minutes. After a further 10 minutes I phoned for a taxi to collect me. The agent did eventually arrive but I told her that I no longer wished to view the property. I thought I would've received an apology from the branch manager but no such luck. Avoid the company.

GDPR breach and passive aggressive emails - AVOID CONNELLS AT AL COSTS

I am receiving passive aggressive emails from Connells 5 years after they made my house purchase 10x harder than it needed to be despite being told my information had been removed from their databases in line with GDPR regulations- clearly they cannot even manage that. As a first time buyer I was given a terrible deal as I unfortunately did not know any better- if you are a first time buyer, or really any buyer, AVOID CONNELLS.

Like all estate agents

Like all estate agents, they are vague and not capable of providing buyers with the required information. Basically estate agents book in a handful of viewings, act as a path through to portals like Rightmove and that’s it. The house sells itself, not the agent. They just collect commission for hardly any work.

Very disappointing experience with…

Very disappointing experience with Connells. The staff were unprofessional and completely unhelpful whenever problems came up. Instead of trying to resolve issues, they avoided contact and ignored messages for weeks. I had to fight for over 10 weeks just to get my deposit back, which caused unnecessary stress and frustration. Communication was terrible throughout the whole process. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

I recently had a valuation carried out by Steve Mather, from previous experience I wasent full of confidence with Connells however Steve did a superb job , he hit the nail on the head with the valuation and the rent figures and it was exactly what was put forward, I wish more surveyors where like Steve. I hope he gets this feedback and I hope I get him again on future projects. 10/10

Awful customer service

Awful customer service! During my remortgage they never answered phonecalls nor responded to emails and they promised they'd pass the message onto the mortgage advisor time & time again, but nothing ever happened. After complaining about my mortgage advisor Ralph Wilkinson things only improved slightly as he still continued to ignore all my phonecalls but would just send a vague email in response. This was an incredibly stressful experience and I would say definitely avoid!

We are hoping to move at some point this year (2024) as it took nearly half of 2023 to get where we are. It's not looking hopeful. It's taken us 5 months to get nowhere in a chain free move, our vendor is going to pull out. We're not even angry anymore, just let down. The real problem is not Connells, but the conveyancing solicitor they have wrapped our buyers up with (Conveyancing Direct) who are unwilling to complete tasks within their remit. We are unable to fathom why.

I went to get a mortgage in principle. After discussing and giving all my intimation, I didn’t hear anything from the company. I kept sending emails, and phone calls to the office multiple times. Every time I was told that someone would get back to me but nobody never got back. Incredible how such a company can even exist with such employees.

As a first timer tenant here in the UK specially here in Andover, I have zero knowledge about everything. Looking for a house was a difficult task since I had no idea where to look and what to expect. Good thing a friend of ours suggested Connels. Both Cloe and James of Connels were very patient about our concerns and they helped us throughtout the process. I couldn't ask for more. It's a 10/10 experience! Very kind attentive and supportive. This review is for Dee Dowan from Connells in Andover. Been a nightmare with Vendors not being proactive but Dee has always been there. Always been willing to go the extra mile liasing with Andover sales team, me and vendors. No question is silly or too much for Dee. Polite friendly and promt in reverting least to say understanding our perspective aa well.We are still persuing the purchase just coz of Dee and her working with us as purchaser and looking after us.
