Toby and his team in Lindfield were outstanding from start to finish. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and pricing of the property. Their marketing approach and brochure were superb as we had 20 viewings the first week and a sale agreed after 8 days. Special mention for their empathy and understanding as they worked with my mother of 96 years old to make the sale process as painless as possible for her. Thank you !

I met Toby Whittome, a Director at the Jackson Stops office in Lindfield, at a neighbour’s Christmas cocktail party. As my wife and I were pondering selling our house the following spring/summer, I spent quite a few minutes peppering Toby with a number of questions. I immediately liked his manner, patient, detailed, humorous and tolerant of me chewing up his time away from the office.We have now sold our house with Toby brokering the deal. Despite knowing that I was going to use him, we interviewed a number of other companies. None of them had the manners nor manner that I wanted in my partner for this deal. As a foreigner, I am fascinated about the strong opinions that homeowners or buyers have about property agents. The English system is far from simple and there are numerous opportunities to fail. Ours had the typical ebbs and flows but it certainly didn’t feel like it. Like anything you get what you pay for and I, possibly, didn’t pay enough so we got a steal. In fact, the process was seamless, lacked the gravitas of what a transaction of this size could have had and was just plain enjoyable…except for the moving of possessions part. I queried Toby robustly about his strategy and the process and ultimately deferred to him despite having worked in property in the past.I would strongly suggest you use Toby and his team. He may not tell you what you want to hear but he will tell you what he knows. If that is not what you want to hear or he sounds uncertain, that is the reality of the market, the process, the English system and he will still know more than you do. You are in good hands. Everything went well and communication was good. They were also helpful when we wanted a second viewing. The downside was our landlord was hounded during the referencing process, even when we were promised they would not be contacted if we allowed the open banking. This resulted in our landlord discovering we’re leaving before we had a chance to tell them. Aside from that, it was a pleasant experience. We dealt with Eloisa in the Weybridge office and Loren for any letting problems - both are engaging and are fast to respond.

Their service was outstanding and we cannot speak highly enough of the entire team.JS provided unwavering support throughout what was a protracted conveyancing process. Chris was our main point of contact and was tireless in guiding us through every stage. We are also hugely grateful to the rest of the team, Louise, Tim and Andrea, and particularly to Pip for his advice and support throughout. All contributed significantly to getting us over the line.The team were proactive in chasing open queries, identifying and advising on missing documentation, and keeping us fully informed. I recently had a challenging experience with Jackson Stops Agency regarding necessary repairs to my flat that required me to vacate temporarily. Initially, my attempt to address the issue was frustrating. When I called the agency, I was met with an unhelpful and hurried response from a staff member who informed me that the rental team was in a meeting. She didn't allow me to explain my situation and instead provided me with the email address of someone who was on annual leave, which added to my anxiety and frustration.However, my experience took a turn for the better when I spoke with Jess Lynagh. From us finding a house we liked to making an offer, the agent - Samantha, was always approachable and helpful. Samantha monitored the selling process diligently giving us constant updates when there were delays and negotiating with parties when there were was a hold up. Unexpectedly, the first sale was withdrawn after a protracted period and Samantha delivered the unwelcome news sensitively and then went out of her way to find suitable alternatives. Samantha was very caring and diplomatic when dealing with some of the questions I posed and when considering a suitable alternative. All the staff that answered the phone in the Newmarket Office were extremely approachable. Our experience spanned seven months.

GoogleI can recommend Jackson Stops having used their services to buy and sell property in Cheshire for decades. The professionalism shown by Jackson Stops has been brilliant on each property i have bought or sold through Jackson Stops, to the extent i wouldn’t use any other estate agent in the UK. I can’t praise Anthony Jevons from the Hale office, and Stephen Cheshire from the Chester office enough. Stephen achieved a sale price £170,000 over the asking price, and Anthony sold another property 1 day after signing the paperwork to sell the property!!!

The Chester branch is an utter waste of time, I enquired about some land and they couldn't be bothered to getting back to me, so if your thinking of selling find another estate agent, I wont be using them. So I will be contacting the land owner directly!

Great experience!In a very tricky market Jackson Stops Lindfield Sussex Branch navigated us through two house sales in 2024. One of which involved a very tricky and volatile chain. Our main pointing contact Freddie Dryden was outstanding and nursed our furrowed brows constantly to completing both sales. The whole office led by Toby Whittome were so helpful.
