GoogleThey are not the right one , deposit has not been refunded , deprecated old carpets were replaced at a cost of new from the deposit . Did not return the scanned inventory report to cross check the quality . The worst estate agents in Hinckley.

Putting a second 1 star review on after your wife has already reviewed us is a poor move, as already stated in your wife’s review. Burning holes on carpets etc is going to get the result of losing your deposit. Your deposit is protected by an independent scheme and your checkout was carried out by an independent company as well but found you fell short in your obligations.

GoogleAbsolutely worst agent ever. Just be careful about your deposits they are just awaiting to eat up your deposit. During our tenancy by mistake we damaged carpet which was no bigger than 3 inches but they quoted us 750 pounds for the same. As the carpet was very old instead of repairing they intended to replace it with our deposit. We never get our deposit back. Be careful.

Dear Miss Upadhyay, we thank you for your time in typing this review of your tenancy, its shows all our landlords both current and future, that we are the best letting agent in the town. Your deposit is protected by the DPS, so we only win cases on a fair basis. May I draw everyone reading this to our independently carried out check out report. Kitchen - Extractor fan is extremely greasy to the touch. Bottom of the oven has burnt-on grease. Bedroom One - Walls have some very light low level scuff marks. Flooring has a iron plate burn mark in front of the radiator. Bedroom Three - Flooring has burn mark to the left hand side. Plus may I also note your issue is with the landlord however you want to give us a 1 star review for your grievance with the landlord "The landlord is taking an undue advantage and trying to replace the entire carpet at our cost" Bit like going to a pop concert and blaming the venue for them not playing the songs your favorite song. Lastly it also shows that the DPS is there for a reason and you did get the vast majority of your bond back and only a partial award was made in favour of the landlord. Just a shame we cannot give tenants reviews on google isnt it. In Summary You rented a house for 9 months which was in good condition when you entered the tenancy and within this short period of time managed to put burns in two carpets and leave the property in an unclean state. The independent inventory company and the deposit protection service found you fell short in your responsibilities and we are pleased to say the landlord and ourselves won the claim.

GoogleRented through Wright and Wright for a year, and the whole time we were extremely unimpressed. When we first moved in there were maintenance issues with the oven and plumbing for washing machine which took 2 weeks to resolve. During which time we had to spend our own money to get clothes washed at the laundrettes, which was never reimbursed. These repairs also had to be chased multiple times. A house inspection did not go ahead as planned as agent failed to let themselves into the property and tried to accuse us of deadbolting the door, despite us making agents aware the lock was stiff. This resulted in our tenancy being threatened. We had numerous issues towards the end of our tenancy which were never rectified and communication as to what was happening with this was next to none unless it was chased. Despite returning the house in a clean and tidy manner with no damages we were deducted £40 from our deposit from a hob and oven which were not spotless upon moving in. Considering the untimeliness of repairs and the impact this had on us during our tenancy this seemed extremely unfair. Would not recommend.

Dear Emily I am sorry you feel you have to vent your frustrations this way, as letting agents we act on behalf of landlords, and repairs are not instant, however all repairs were carried out in a timely fashion, furthermore at no point was your tenancy threatened. Regarding issues towards the end of your tenancy, these were even dealt with after your notice was submitted, so again not sure what your getting at here. Regarding the deduction of £40, this was to clean the oven and windows inside and the blinds plus the cost of two bulbs which need replacing on the stairs. If you didnt want to accept this, you had the right to put the £40 into dispute and the DPS would have asked for evidence from both parties and made a decision, in the mean time you would have still got all the rest of your deposit back. The fact you decided to settle without arbitration, indicates you felt it was a fair deduction. Unfortunately yet another case of a tenant with an axe to grind leaving a 1 star review against an agent, who has done nothing wrong in this instance, the landlord uses there own contractors who were chased, there are many, many replies to your emails, and even assisted in the return of overpaid rent. We wish you all the best for the future.

GoogleI had the pleasure of dealing with Wright and Wright a short time ago, David, Melanie and the team were highly professional and went beyond in their support and help in the buying process, definitely among the best of the estate agents in the Nuneaton area, the service and professionalism was the same or even better than that i received when i last dealt with them 30 years ago, more agents of this calibre are needed.
