It's completion day, early in the morning, and I'm too wired to sleep any more, so it seems like a perfect opportunity to tick another item off the humongous moving house to-do list by publicly singing the praises of William Rose. We met Jay at a viewing of a property we were possibly interested in, then invited him around to value the house we were selling. I was very sceptical from the start about engaging a full-service local estate agent, when, let's be honest, I could have used Purple Bricks for about 1/3 of the cost. But we quickly warmed to Jay, who came across as straight down the line, not at all pushy, and that he really could not do enough to help us. Cutting a long story short, we ended up both selling and buying through Jay. After four months of having him work for us, do I have any regrets about paying triple the Purple Bricks price? Not a single one. He has worked absolutely tirelessly for us and has been worth every penny. What's been good about Jay? Too many things to list exhaustively but here are a few. He gave us a realistic valuation of the property we were selling and delivered on it. The photos we had taken of our property were fantastic. He found us a committed buyer who we have had every confidence in from the point they made an offer. He is always available, and happy to chat about any aspect of the moving process. He has been on top of the full chain at all times, pretty much doing the job of other agents further up the line just to keep things running smoothly at our end. At one point we were offering on a property being sold by another agent. He was fully behind us, even though he knew there was a possibility we'd go for one on his books. And to top it all off, he's a thoroughly nice guy, so the many, many calls we've had over the last few months have always been pleasurable. I don't remember speaking to any other estate agent where I have actively enjoyed dealing with them, and not had some niggling doubt that they are trying to rip me off. If you are considering moving, use these guys with total confidence. Sure, it's not as cheap as the online services you can get these days, but it's absolutely worth it.

it's fair to say that my opinion of estate agents was not very high until I worked with William Rose and specifically with Jay . He is a class apart from the average estate agent and, in our experience, by miles the best estate agent in Woodford. Jay worked with us on an extremely complicated sales and purchase where our original seller dropped out and our chain collapsed. He found us a new buyer in a couple of weeks and managed to put the chain back together again working with the estate agent we were buying from. His experience, dedication and expertise are second to none. He is passionate about ensuring his clients achieve their goals and he certainly was committed to helping us buy our dream home. His fee was not the cheapest but was money extremely well spent when needing his expertise and we would highly recommend him.
