Am very impressed with this family run estate agents who I bought a flat through recently. They were always very professional, knowledgeable and helpful, even when the sale dragged on for what felt like an eternity. I would highly recommend Whitlock & Heaps, particularly if you don't want the hard sell tactics most of the other agents use.

We had Whitlock and heaps as our estate agents for 2 1/2 years and they were excellent. Such nice people and so helpful. Everything that needed done was fair and reasonable and the move out was made so much easier by their calm and friendly service. Thanks from the Goldstone gang!

Jack and the rest of the team did an excellent job in renting out our property for over 5 years. From finding good tenants to dealing with any maintenance issues, they were very responsive and quick, making our life much easier. When we've decided to sell the property, Jack guided us through the process with constant advice and updates, provided us feedback from viewings, and answered quickly to any enquiries until the sale completion. I would definitely recommend them.

We first came across Whitlock and Heaps when we purchased our home here in Hove in 2013. We met Jack back then who came across as an absolute professional, and a straightforward agent to deal with, and we instantly liked him. Recently we sold a property with Whitlock and Heaps and once again Jack, his father Peter and sister Sonya, and all the staff have been fantastic. Brilliant communication, which was often done through the WhatsApp group quite specifically set up by Jack, and which proved to be really efficient and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this agent to anyone who needs good and utterly professional property services. Very competitive pricing representing excellent value, and a real treasure to find these days. No hard sell just straightforward honest facts and figures that leave you knowing exactly where you stand and who you are dealing with. Thank you Jack and the team, a wonderful experience!

What an absolute pleasure it was to commit the sale of our flat to Whitlock and Heaps. From our first meeting with Jack Fisk he was clear about where the flat stood in the market and listened very carefully to our opinions. He priced it in such a way as to to give potential buyers the opportunity to make sensible offers. The photography and full description were excellent and within hours of going live we had several interested parties vying to view! Jack kept us informed at all stages and we were delighted when then flat sold above the asking price. We would highly recommend Whitlock and Heaps to any prospective seller. The family business ethic comes across and you genuinely feel that you are getting the very best that there is Estate Agents sales. Thank you Jack!

Whitlock and Heaps have been the best estate agents I have ever worked with - Jack and Peter just ‘get it’ and we cannot recommend them highly enough. From the outset, Jack was extremely straightforward to deal with. He gave honest, realistic advice and feedback regarding marketing our property in Poet's Corner. He was very proactive; our house sold very quickly and when our original buyer pulled out very early on in the process, Jack sold our house to our eventual buyers the same day. We felt completely confident and reassured in Jack managing our sale and dealing with our purchaser’s estate agent; his honesty and transparency throughout really helped to make what is quite a stressful process much more straightforward. Jack is also just a genuinely nice guy - a breath of fresh air compared to many other estate agents! Very many thanks.

Brilliant service. Due to poor health i had to sell my investment property. Matt Harper and the team at Cales were superb. Matt helped me through every step and liaised with the buyer and both solicitors on my behalf. I can"t recommend Matt enough. You will not be disappointed.

Cales handled the sale of my Dad's house for me when he passed away. Matt was incredibly professional, caring, sensitive and sold the house very quickly. He juggled the delay whilst we were waiting for probate , chasing regularly, keeping me, the buyer and the solicitor in the loop. I have bought and sold 3 houses in my life and hands down Matt at Cales was exceptional at his job. I hope I never have to consider using anyone other than Matt if I move again.

Julianna at Cales has been absolutely fantastic, as has Brad. From checking in to checking out due to finally buying a house, they have been brilliant. Any issues I have had have been dealt with quickly and hassle free at my convenience. Check in and out was fair and hassle free and I got my deposit back on the same day I checked out. Up to this point I have always rented and have been around most of the letting agents in Brighton and Hove. Cales and Co have been by far head and shoulders above the rest in terms of customer service, putting the tenant first and just overall functionality. Things get done and they get done quickly and to a high standard. Best experience of a letting agent and managed property I have ever had. Totally recommend Cales to anyone either renting for the first time or the tenth time, you won't find a more friendly or competent letting agent in Brighton and Hove. Thanks guys and an extra thank you to Julianna.

Head and shoulders above most of the other agencies in Hove. Have used a couple of others over the years and these are the only one I have ever recommended to others. Small, family run business so you don't get saturday staff with zero knowledge / interest showing people your property. We sold though them, they managed the process fantastically - now other neighbours and friends are all using them and saying the same

Exceptional Service. Would wholeheartedly recommend Cales & Co. We were renting with them and had no issues whatsoever from signing the tenancy to vacating. They treat you with respect and have done so much for us whenever we had any maintenance issues. We had to move due to the landlord wanting to sell the property but they really tried hard to find us alternative accommodation. Special thanks to Brad and Juliana for always being on call with any of our queries and promptly following them up. Thank you

The joint worst service I have received from an estate agency in Brighton & Hove. Little communication from agents and a lack of organisation has stopped me from proceeding with 1 or 2 properties of interest.

I would highly recommend Jack and his team at Whitlock and Heaps. Throughout the whole process they were attentive, kind, personable and willing to help wherever possible to make our sale and move as smooth and stress-free as possible.

My experience with Whitlock and Heaps started out well but quickly turned sour! Originally I had been dealing with Jack a very polite gentleman and willing to help in my search for a property, I had a few concerns and he stated that everything should be ok when it came to potentially renting a particular property. A viewing was pencilled in but, confirmation needed to be received from the current tenant that they were happy and that he would call me back, here’s where things started to take a downward spiral. I never got a call so 2 hours prior to the appointment I called to be told Jack was on holiday and they’d still had no news from the tenant yet no one had thought to keep me posted. Eventually consent was given and myself and parents went to view the property, I wanted my parents opinion as I’m a single parent and wanted to make the right choice. I met Brian at the property first of all he made a snide comment on my parents being with me, which I brushed off, the current tenant told me more about the property than Brian did and the longest part of the house I was in was the garden. Brian had us in and out of that property within about 5 mins told me nothing really about the property, the tenant did that for him, didn’t ask if I had any questions and as he was rushing off said phone Peter if you’re interested. Regardless of Brian’s attitude to showing people properties from what I had seen I was impressed with so, I did call and speak to Peter who is extremely rude on the telephone had no idea who I was and simply said I’ll call the landlord and see if she wants you to rent her property. I was a little take aback because I was under the impression from Jack that there would be no issue and it would be as simple as arranging to pop in and put a holding deposit down. Peter said he’d phone later that day which he didn’t so, as it was a Friday I thought I’d give it until I finished work on the Monday to call, I called around 3.30pm spoke to Brian who said it was strange Peter didn’t call me and that he didn’t know the situation but, he’d ask him to call me back and I’m still waiting for that call. If for whatever reason I wasn’t a good fit for the landlord have the common decency and respect to call potential clients back! I will now take my business and the 4K I have sat in my acct to put on a new home elsewhere! Be warned if your face doesn’t fit this company will not help you!

I can't recommend Whitlock and Heaps highly enough! In a challenging market we would have been lost without them. Jack and the rest of the team went above and beyond to get both our properties sold, sticking to our deadline and achieving great prices.

I've rented over 10 properties in the last 12 years in Brighton (the woes of renting in a city) and rented from multiple different estate agents including the largest chain agents in the city. Whitlock & Heaps are by far and away the best agent that we have ever rented from, without a doubt. The staff are all super friendly, super supportive and anything that you need fixed will be attended to immediately. They take really good care of their properties and tenants, and don't try to screw you out of any money when returning your deposit (ive got the full deposit returned twice now! Almost unheard of in Brighton...) I would 100% recommend this agent, and should I return to Brighton will without doubt contact W&H for anything property related. They deserve more recognition for their great service. 10/10
