I rented a flat through Whitlock & Heaps and was their client for over four years. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing.The only person in the office who was consistently friendly and professional was Marie. The rest of the staff were generally unapproachable and unhelpful. Despite repeated promises to address problems in the flat,nothing was ever properly resolved. Issues were acknowledged, but no real action was taken.What upset me the most was my experience with Jan Heaven. I found her attitude extremely arrogant and disrespectful. I also strongly felt that because I am not British, I was treated differently and subjected to comments that I perceived as discriminatory and inappropriate. This was deeply hurtful and unacceptable.I believe the owner of this agency should be much more careful when selecting staff, especially when it comes to professionalism, respect, and equality. No client should ever feel uncomfortable or discriminated against.Because of this experience, I will not be using this agency again, and I would not recommend it to friends or family.

If there was an estate agent of the year award Jack Fisk of Whitlock & Heaps should be nominated. Jack was involved in every part of my 96 year old mother’s house move and went above and beyond the usual estate agent role. At 96, with one daughter living abroad and the other living in North Yorkshire, my mother had no idea how to use the internet or a smart phone, therefore all documents were mailed either to Jack or sent by post to my mother’s home address. Jack helped her complete and send off all the paperwork, sat through the laborious site plan meetings with my mother in his office and at a drop of a hat, went to see my mother at her home if any information was needed. He explained everything clearly and helped make this house move as stress free as possible. Nothing was too much trouble for Jack. Thank you Jack for everything you have done. We can never repay your professionalism and kindness enough. To anyone who is looking for a fantastic estate agent who goes more than the extra mile, look no further than Whitlock & Heaps

I have just brought my first property with W&H, with my point of contact as Jack, who could not have been more supportive and helpful. Jack was constantly available via phone/email throughout all hours of the day to answer any questions I had and was able to bridge the gap of communication between myself, the seller and solicitors extremely effectively. Jack at Whitlock & Heaps acted for us on the sale of our house. He was excellent - always contactable, proactive and clearly knows his stuff and the local market. Our sale was part of quite a complex chain with around 7 properties and various deadlines. I really don't believe the entire chain would have completed without Jack being on top of it, constantly chasing other sellers, agents and conveyancers and keeping us in the loop with what was going on. This is where you really benefit from an agent like Jack who adds a lot of value between a sale being agreed and exchange (whereas my prior experience is of estate agents switching off and being harder to get hold of as soon as the sale is agreed). On the original sale aspect, everything went smoothly - pictures and advert were great and I also thought Jack and team handled viewings and offers really well, with a clear focus on maximising the sale price. If we were to sell again in the future, I would certainly come back to Jack and Whitlock & Heaps.
