My circumstances then changed and I chose to let my property instead. Becoming a landlord was new to me and my mind was put at ease about the process. I have found that all of the staff members in both sales and lettings were helpful and knowledgeable. Any problems I have had have been dealt with quickly and professionally. My only suggestion for improvement would be to be more forthcoming with information before a seller or landlord needs to ask for it. For example, knowing whether a tenant has moved in on the set date and if they have settled in well.

I spent 7 years in the industry and I always thought White and Guard were a high quality and respected agency (even though a competitor at the time) and if they continue to have members of staff as good a Georgia then hats off! Before putting our home on the market we spoke to three estate agents - explaining to each our problem: that we needed to sell our second property before putting ours on the market. Three out of the four agents told us to wait then get in touch once our second home was sold. Suzanne at White and Guard suggested we get a let-to-buy mortgage while we waited. So that's what we did. Last Friday we picked up the keys to our new home and couldn't be happier. We were even given a rather snazzy bottle of champers when we collected our keys.
