GoogleAs a landlord I regret ever using Sargeants London Lettings They placed a tenant without properly vetting, even though I explicitly requested strict referencing. That tenant went on to cause thousands of pounds in damage. Flooded the bathroom, causing water to leak into the downstairs flat. I wasn’t informed. Fire in the kitchen, caused by a broken extractor fan. Sargeants had been told by the tenant that it was sparking, but they failed to act. The tenant’s dog (which I had never been told was allowed in the property) scratched up the flooring and damaged several doors. A gas leak was reported by the tenant, Sargeants told the tenant “someone would be sent next week.” The garden became completely overgrown because Sargeants failed to arrange regular maintenance. Despite all of this, they continued to take their full management fee each month, yet provided no service. Their reports were useless, inspections did not take place, and communication appalling. Emails would go unanswered for weeks. When I called, I was passed around with no one taking ownership. When the tenancy finally ended I was left with a trashed flat, unpaid utilities, and a deposit. They offered no assistance, no apology, and absolutely no accountability.

GoogleThe flat was filthy, mouldy, broken furniture. When I complained, they accused me of exaggerating. The bathroom ceiling caved in due to a leak they ignored for over a month. Getting my deposit back was awful, they tried to charge me for pre existing damages.
