GoogleAwful estate agents, been trying to view a property for rent. They are awful at getting back to you and then when they do they only work until 5pm. How is anyone who is in full time employment meant to be able to view properties? They give you 2 days in advance, I don’t know any work places that would allow leave 2 days in advance. Basically if you’re in full time employment no point in trying to arrange a viewing because they can only do during the day at a time that suits them not you.

GoogleA big thank you to Laura and the ladies in the office at Samuels for all the help and timely assistance they have given me over the past 4 1/2 years. Laura visited me yesterday afternoon at my rental property in Haverhill which has had an extensive refit and is ready for a new tenant, after a chat on how we would proceed photo's were taken and by early morning today it was listed on Samuels website and enquiries were coming in ! that's what i call service . Thanks Samuels.

GoogleAbsolutely shambolic estate agent 1 star rating is by far exceeding their capabilities. We had been instructed by one of their agents Laura Whitehead to undertake a trace and access survey as a property managed by them had a mains leak. Despite our company policy of requiring a 50% payment of the survey prior to our service being conducted we were considerate enough to confirm a booking without taking such payment. We had conducted our services in a landlords property on the 13th January, the leak had been located, accessed and repaired in one day. Almost 7 days later our services have not been paid up after numerous emails and calls back and forth being fobbed off. Customer service skills are below 0 and extremely rude as another one of their agents Stella was very abrupt, unhelpful and disrespectful enough to put the phone down whilst trying to discuss who and when will pay for our work. The very people who requested our services cannot deal with this matter repeatedly refusing to supply us with the landlords telephone number, making untrue statements of advising the landlord to pay the invoices, despite that the landlord is not paying us. Laura Whitehead had confirmed that if payment is not made they will settle the invoices and charge the owner from their rent which is the honest thing to do. We have been intentionally messed around and taken for fools. The landlord was present on the day of the survey from start till finish and had been well informed about the entire procedure of claims process with insurance company, payments etc. If you are a contractor or doing any work for these dishonest people please think twice.

GoogleFriendly, personable and always went above and beyond. We have dealt with Samuels twice in the last 10 years (selling and buying). Andy, Karen, Sophie, Cimon, Layla and Heidi (who has now retired) have all been amazing and went the extra mile to support/mediate for us when things got tougher towards the end of our sale. It was a long journey in an absolutely crazy market in 2022 but we got there with your expertise and help. Biggest shout out to Karen and Sophie who were always there and genuinely cared about us. Thank you team!!

Andy with his assessment of Asking price, Sophie and Leila were fantastic at presenting the property to perspective buyers, while Karen and Cimon supported through the as always stressful conclusion of sale. If you are looking for a close knit team that will do the upmost to sell your property then i would Recommend Samuels.

GoogleI did my first house sale with Samuels and I could not have picked a better estate agent. From the start they were genuinely professional and friendly. They were always there with advice but never put any pressure on me to follow it. When some issues came up with the sale Samuels worked tirelessly to help resolve them. They were always pretty easy to get in contact with. Special mention to Karen who was absolutely amazing. I can not recommend them enough and if i am purchasing/selling in Exeter again i will definitely be using Samuels.

GoogleI highly recommend Samuels Estate Agents. I used them when selling my Mothers flat after her death. I did not live locally, so I had to rely on them completely for the sale. Andy, Karen, Sophie and the whole team were extremely helpful, full of sound advice during both the initial marketing of the house and throughout the actual sale. They kept me informed of any viewings they had scheduled and the feedback they had received from each viewing. Once we had received an offer, they gave me good advice on how I should respond, and how best to deal with the buyer's concerns that came up during the sale. They kept me informed of the progress of the sale, following up regularly with the buyer's solicitor, and with the buyer/buyer's family directly on occasions when information was not forthcoming. I always felt that they were working hard for me during the whole process. I also received compliments from the property manager on how pleasant it was to work with the agent showing the flat - not always the case, apparently! I thought that the fee for their services was very fair, and highly recommend them to anyone wishing to sell a property in the Exeter area.

GoogleWe have been dealing with Samuels for a number of months now and the service we have received has been second to none. There has been clear communication and friendly correspondence from the word go, even with issues (not Samuels fault!) we have never been left in the dark. A special mention to Karen who has always made dealing with the sales/purchases so much easier. We will always recommend and deal with Samuels in the future, thanks so much!!
