Never got back regarding a property (cookham rd challet/bungalow) that we were interested in and viewed. Therefore with the limited experience we have had I will have to rate them 1/5* for poor communication. However did respond and make an effort to rectify the poor communication therefore review changed to 4/5*

Booked to see a property, was initially accommodating and helpful over the phone. Estate agent was late arriving to the property and very casual in his manner when he did get there. Quite dismissive and rude in nature, then proceeded to whistle loudly whilst we looked around the house, this was not only hugely irritating but disrespectful and showed a lack of interest. Sarcastically answered questions about the property and told us “a road is a road” when asking about the volume of traffic nearby, a basic question you’d expect an estate agent to be able to answer without flippancy. The attitude of the man who showed us the property was enough to put me off even enquiring about any other houses in their range. Wouldn’t recommend using them from the view of a seller or a buyer.

Eddie and his team at Robinson Estate Agents are exceptional. After a miserable experience with one of the major High St names in Maidenhead (unrealistic pricing, poor communication, a mere three viewings in two months, ‘stick it on and they will come’ approach), Eddie and Kipp came to our rescue. Eddie is professional and personable who quickly establishes a rapport and takes an interest in all aspects of your property so he’s able to answer all prospective buyers’ queries and sell it effectively. He listened to us, gave great insight into the local market and provided honest feedback. He arranged photos and a floorplan that were considerably more detailed than the previous agent could be bothered to provide and consequently delivered 3x as many viewings before the property had been marketed properly. As a result we were able to accept an offer for asking price within four days of it being listed that enabled us to secure our #1 choice in Bath. Incredibly disappointed in the lack of professionalism in Robinsons. They attempted to retain a large chunk of our deposit, despite not allowing our professional cleaners back in the property to rectify items. 99% of letting agents allow you do this. I have no idea why Robinsons 'policy' does not. They tried to scare us by saying that they would have to hold onto the whole of our deposit if we went to dispute (which is untrue). They caused a huge amount of stress for us while we were trying to leave the property, and despite our repainting half the house, they tried to charge us for the repaint of a wall in our bedroom, despite it being 'fair wear and tear'. They also said during inspections that our home was 'unclean' which was untrue and incredibly upsetting.
