I had excellent interactions with the Robert Cooper Eastcote agency over the years. 15 years ago they helped me finding my first flat in Eastcote, which I liked so much that I later bought in the same building; they were always professional at the time in managing my rent and needs. Our experience while buying a property with Robert Cooper (Eastcote) was a mixed one. The early stages of the purchase process were disappointing and caused unnecessary stress. The sales team appeared rushed and did not seem to have an understanding of the property they were selling. Important information regarding the probate status of the property was not disclosed upfront and only became apparent later in the transaction. We also felt significant pressure to enter into a 1% deposit agreement with terms that carried considerable risk, including the potential loss of the deposit if the transaction did not complete within three months. Furthermore, we were effectively forced to change solicitors during the transaction and were strongly encouraged to use the estate agent's recommended solicitor. This resulted in us incurring unnecessary costs, as work and searches had already been completed by our original solicitor. Buyers should be able to choose their own legal representation without feeling pressured to use a particular firm. Communication and professionalism from Riean (Sales Person) were particularly disappointing. We found several interactions to be rude, dismissive and lacking in the level of customer service we would expect when making one of the largest financial commitments of our lives. Rather than helping to reduce stress during the process, their approach often added to it. However, the experience improved dramatically once the transaction moved into the sales progression stage and was handled by Sherry. She was exceptional throughout the remainder of the purchase. Her communication was prompt, professional and proactive, and she consistently followed up on actions and kept all parties informed. Her efficiency, responsiveness and commitment played a major role in ensuring the purchase progressed smoothly. Without Sherry's involvement, this would have been a very poor experience. She is a credit to Robert Cooper and deserves recognition for her professionalism and customer-focused approach. Whilst there are still significant improvements needed within the sales team, the sales progression support we received was first-class.
