GoogleExtremely disappointed with the Richard Kendall Horbury lettings team. During my tenancy, a maintenance worker actually warned me not to report issues because Richard Kendall’s “get annoyed and want you out.” That says everything about the culture. When problems were reported, responses were slow or nonexistent. After moving out, the rent/deposit handling was appalling. Staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly sided with the landlord despite false claims being made. When evidence showed I was in the right, paperwork was conveniently withheld. I took the matter to TDS and won the case, proving the claims against me were unfounded and that the agency’s handling was unfair and unprofessional. The only person who was helpful was the lady who carried out inspections. Other than that, I would not recommend them as a letting agent to anyone.

I am disappointed to read your comments regarding communication, maintenance reporting, and how matters were handled following the end of your tenancy. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide. With regard to the tenancy deposit, we always follow the procedures set out by the Tenancy Deposit Scheme. Where a dispute arises, it is entirely appropriate for the matter to be reviewed independently, and we respect the adjudication process and its outcome. We have taken note of your comments about documentation and communication and will review these internally to identify any areas for improvement. I am pleased to hear that you found the property inspector helpful, and I will ensure that this feedback is passed on. Equally, I am sorry that you did not feel supported by the wider lettings team, and I will be addressing your comments with staff to ensure lessons are learned. We are committed to improving our service and using experiences such as yours to help us do so. Thank you, Amy.

GoogleWe were selling my mum and dad’s house and was an emotional time for me and my sister. Sarah at the Normanton branch dealt with the sale from start to finish. I cannot recommend Sarah enough and she is a credit to Richard Kendall. She kept us informed all the way through and answered any questions we had. She was professional and friendly and made what was a sad time selling the family home easier. The sale was quick and seamless due to Sarah. GoogleHouse next door is on market and people keep blocking our drive. Knocked on the door and the estate agent "Charlie" stated it's not his problem as not his car! You arranged the viewings so you can manage parking. It's simple courtesy to ask people not to block the road or drive when viewing or asking them to move their car! Useless

We completely understand your frustration and whilst we can’t control where visitors choose to park we would like to think that everyone attending a viewing to be considerate of neighbouring properties.
