We bought our first home property by Plaza Estates through Rodney Symington estate agent. Rodney ticked all the boxes from our first viewing. Humble, agile, reachable, kind, informative are all qualities that came through in the process. He sees through the buyer's lens as well, not just the seller's. Usually when you kick off conveyancing for a property you're purchasing, estate agents will fall off the grid. Rodney was present every step of the way, facilitating matters when they stalled with the seller's solicitor in a kind, polite and professional matter to keep the ball rolling. Rodney, thank you for making this buying experience in London pleasant for us as first time buyers. For those out there looking to buy or sell, I cannot recommend enough Rodney and Plaza Estates. They will be our first choice in the future.

Avoid Plaza Estates - Unethical Practices and Breach of Contract I had an incredibly negative experience with this property management agency and strongly advise others to avoid them. Here’s what happened: Breach of Contract: I signed a tenancy agreement with a 6-month no-break clause, but just two months after moving in, the agency informed me that they were selling the property, forcing me to move out early. This was a clear violation of the contract. Unfair Deposit Practices: When I moved out, the agency tried to use a decade-old inventory report from 2010 (for a different tenancy!) to withhold my deposit and said that we STOLE SOME PRINTS THAT COST £2800 BACK IN 2010 . They failed to do an inventory check when I moved in, yet they’re holding me accountable for items from 14 years ago and they have no proof. This is completely unethical. Lack of Empathy and Support: Despite informing them of my vulnerable situation, the agency showed zero empathy. Their communication was cold, pressuring, and unhelpful. They failed to explain my rights or offer any support during the stressful process of finding new accommodation. Bottom Line: This agency’s unethical practices, lack of professionalism, and disregard for their tenants’ rights make them completely untrustworthy. Save yourself the stress and financial loss, avoid them at all costs.

Anna this is all untrue. There was a notice period in the contract which the owners activated as they wanted to sell the flat, unfortunately that happens in life. You took over existing liabilities when you moved in and as such the original inventory stands and will be adjudicated on by the TDS. In addition you only raised concerns after you vacated the flat thus it was to late for us to help. It seems you are just looking for compensation.

No rental checks done by Plaza. They teamed up with the tenant to sublet the property for 8 months. Plaza and the tenant made money while the owner was left to pay mortgage, repair costs and the inflated service charge. Never deal with Plaza is my sincere advice.

We’ve used Plaza since 1996 and have always found them to be professional and helpful. A point in their favour is they retain their staff so you get experience and continuity but don't rely on them to keep you updated about changes in the law for which they have a "no responsibility" clause. So you will end up paying for their mistakes/negligence.
