GoogleUsed Peter Clarke to sell a house in Wellesbourne, primarily because they had an office in the village, and they did demonstrate a knowledge of the local market. Advertising package was all that could be expected, and the process moved promptly. Unfortunately a number of circumstances prolonged both the finding of a buyer and subsequently getting to completion, but I was kept well informed along the way. GoogleWe used Peter Clarke, Wellesbourne to purchase our first home and were amazed by how lovely they were. Vivienne kept us updated constantly and nothing was too much trouble, she kept us more in the loop than our own solicitors did. Within 24hrs of viewing the house, we received a courtesy call to see if we had any further questions or wanted to book another viewing in. We then made an offer later that day and whilst waiting for searches and surveys to get back a few weeks later Viv kindly asked if we wished to view the property again, which we did. GoogleDo not recommend. When we tried to rent a property with them, they charged us £250 as a "booking fee", which I have never gotten back, even though we never rented with them. When my husband and I came to view one of their properties, the carbon monoxide detector was switched off, and there was an extremely pungent smell of gas. The agent giving the viewing assured us that this was just 'cooking smell' that was likely a result of the previous owners (who had moved out 3 months prior). On top of our stolen money, the agency did not take this seriously and we have never heard from them since.
Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to hear that you have not been happy with the service that we have provided on this occasion. At the point of an application being submitted, we ask that a holding deposit is paid to secure the property and take the property off the market whilst we carry out references. The holding deposit is refundable against the first months rent when the tenancy starts and at two points during the application process it is made clear the circumstances when a holding deposit will be retained. We ask all applicants to sign on both occasions to confirm that that they agree to this prior to their application being progressed. The safety of our tenants is our priority and it is a legal requirement to ensure that all gas appliances are safe to use at the start of a tenancy and that any smoke / CO alarms where required are in working order. I am not aware of any smells of gas or gas leaks at any of out properties currently on the market or that have been occupied over recent months. Matthew then relentlessly progressed the sale right the way through to end. The whole process from start to finish in less than 5 weeks despite having Christmas in the middle and the buyers solicitor having as much urgency as Boris seems to have to end this lockdown. GoogleThe whole process can be a little daunting when you're a first time buyer but the whole team have been absolutely fantastic every step of the way, especially Renee. They've been super responsive and informative to ensure that things went as smoothly as possible, and took the time to explain the whole process to me so that I knew what milestones we needed to get pass in order to complete. I'll definitely be using them again when it's time to move again!

GoogleVERY GOOD EXPERIENCE OVERALL. We recently completed our house purchase through Peter Clarke (Leamington branch) and are really happy with the outcome. Renée was particularly helpful throughout the process, she is a pleasure to correspond with. As first time buyers, this was a really big deal to us and we found her input very reassuring. Both initially viewing the property and picking up the keys from the office went very smoothly, they were COVID compliant and I felt very safe. One thing to note is that I did request a more detailed floor-plan at one point and was not provided with one, and my request to revisit the house to do my own measurements as an alternative was also ignored which meant I wasn't able to order any furniture prior to moving in. The only thing that we would have changed is that we chose to go with the solicitor recommended by Peter Clarke and we wish we had done a bit more research first. Next time, I think I would research other conveyancing solicitors instead of automatically going with the one recommended by the agent!PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism
