So been in about 6 weeks now. Had the usual snagging issues which are expected however the 'aftercare service' which we've received has been appalling. Latest issue is our kitchen light switch which has been positioned behind the door under an eave from the stairwell so a really awkward position and whoever signed off on the design must have been designing their first house. Turns out they hung the door the wrong side! The electrician who is great and works for them said an easy job to put the other side of the wall so to contact the 'care' team who would arrange it. Of course, they don't want to pay for that do they, and their solution? To put the door the other side, which would block off the walkway around the island...the whole point of an island is to be able to walk around it right? Clearly not in there eyes...so its pay for it ourselves or that....great solution guys! Honestly, so painful dealing with them...house is nice but buckle up if you have even the slightest thing to fix as will be a horrible ride...

Fantastic experience from start to finish! Top quality homes matched with exceptional customer service. After care is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for them. This was our first house purchase and couldn’t have been better. We have been in for a year and still love the house and where we live. We were the first on site and in amongst the building work with a young baby. The house is entirely sound proof and the builders were not disruptive at all. Highly recommend this house builder.

Have now been in our new Pentland home at Terlingham Gardens Hawkinge for 6 months , the first phase is now complete , the time seems to have flown , it feels very safe and secure as a gated retirement community with very friendly residents always there to help if needed . The sales team were very helpful from start to finish in our purchase process many thanks especially to Ann , Gill and Rachel ,any issues or problems have been dealt with by the sales team and the site team of Andy and Karol very promptly , thanks very much , would recommend Pentland and the retirement village to anyone wishing to have this type lifestyle , also Matt is doing grand job with the garden areas which are now getting established now looking forward to our first summer here .

I bought a new Pentland home situated in Hawkinge on the Terlingham Village site a year ago. The house is of an excellent design, extremely heat efficient, and very well situated. With any new build there is bound to be teething problems but I have to say that compared to some stories I hear, my half a dozen minor issues were negligible and I believe that to be the case with at least 99% of people I have spoken to in a Pentland property. All I had to do was report my problem to the site office and it was dealt with immediately. I have found all the staff here both in the site office and the workforce helpful and obliging. How many building companies do you know that would lay on, fund raising coffee mornings for cancer research, Christmas parties, and birthday parties for special "numbers". And all of these events are catered for and attended by the lovely office ladies. (Ann, Rachel, and Caroline). Keep up the good work Pentland.

I purchased a house from Pentland last year. This company is 100% let down by it's customer care line. You are lucky if they call you back and they never follow up. I had to threaten them with poor Internet reviews to get action over something loose in the roof. Twice. They have not got back to me again so here we are. Overall, terrible experience since purchasing this house, which is almost lovely apart from the very poor after sales service. If you have any problems with your house they will take ages to do anything about it unless you chase them constantly. Edit: I find it curious that a load of 5 star reviews appeared after I left this one.

What a wonderful company to buy a house from. I have been in my house for 2 years and find the house a very comfortable, warm and lovely place to live. From the moment I saw the site and bought off-plan I can only have admiration for the fast progress through the sale, the after care service, customer service and all their employees that I have met and dealt with. Yes, there will be niggles with any new build, or for a matter fact any house, and all these niggles have been dealt with; even on a late Christmas Eve when my cooker was not working, the company sorted this out immediately and was all okay for the turkey. Within the last two years the customer services required have been second to none, they could have not been more helpful when required. I would recommend Pentland Homes to any new prospective buyer as they always try to meet the many various customer needs with gusto. Well done.

Having bought a Pentland Home towards the end of 2015, I found the site staff excellent in relation to both liaison and communication throughout the pre-sales process. They also resolved some issues relating to gradient contours on my plot with creative solutions that enhanced the landscaping options within my garden. The post-sale period was overseen by the Customer Care Manager and the Customer Care Field Manager, and both were at all times attentive and responsive to the issues that inevitably came up as would be expected with any new build property. I would say that the most impressive element of the experience has been the universally personal and bespoke feel to the service that the Pentland staff give, and the consistency they display in their commitment to customer care. I am pleased that I bought a Pentland Home, and I particularly appreciate the unique design elements that tend to distinguish their developments. My home is as much a delight to me now as it was when I first moved in.

We have now lived in a Pentland home for just over 3 years. We love our home and have been impressed with the service provided by Pentland. We were expecting teething problems due to it being a new build home on a new build development and feel that Pentland staff have always been open, efficient and speedy in their response to resolve the few issues that did crop up. The added extras we have enjoyed have been brilliant and we would recommend a Pentland home to others. We would love to, one day, move into a three bed Pentland build as they have fostered a lovely community for us to live in, which I do not hear that other organisations do.
