Katie Matthews was my first contact person with Oakfield Hastings. She had a real task on her hands as I was looking for a property that would allow me to keep my 13 year old Yorkshire Terrier. Katie worked hard to convince the landlord to accept my pet, despite him being insistent that pets were not allowed. In the run up to moving in Katie was in contact with me every day. sometimes several times a day, helping me to sort everything out and talking me through any technical difficulties with filling out all the online paperwork. She has continued to be at the end of the phone-line whenever I have had any difficulties and has gone above board to sort them out. Glenn Taylor came out to my property the first night I had moved in, as I had difficulty in getting the heating to work. He did this on his way home. It was after 7pm in the evening yet he put aside his personal time to make sure I had heating on such a cold night. Yesterday I managed to get locked out the flat when the wind blew the door shut behind me. It was very embarrassing as I was out in the front garden in my pyjamas! I immediately thought of Katie and sure enough she sent Glenn to my rescue once more. He arrived in a jiffy and saved me from any further embarrassment. I would also like to thank Emma Storey who stood in when neither Katie nor Glenn were around to sort out any emergency maintenance. Hastings branch are ambassadors in my opinion for excellent team work. All working together to make sure things run as smoothly as possible for the tenant.

I had a property on the market for 8 months with another agent and it hadn't moved so I instructed the agent to relet it. A week later I had no response and the for sale board remained in place. Oakfield had been recommended to me by another landlord and proactively mailed me to offer their services. I met Adam on a Friday and signed them up, he emailed me on Saturday with all the paperwork and stated they had already had a positive viewing. On the Monday Hannah called to say they had 5 viewings, one a repeat and by 3 pm they had a prospective tenant at the asking price to offer me. The whole transaction was very efficient and professional and within 2 weeks we had a tenant in residence. Their communicationn was excellent throughout, highly recommended.

Having decided that we don't want to buy another home in the UK, we have been renting in the private sector for five or six years. We have used a few agents in Brighton, but they really were terrible. They never do the work, always raise the rents six-monthly and operate purely for the landlords. Since being in St Leonards, we have lived in a property managed by Oakfield. I really cannot praise them enough. If you have an issue, you just upload the query and the job gets done. They are friendly, professional, helpful and really looking to ensure you are comfortable in your home. I would not hesitate to give them 5 Stars. Such nice people to deal with.

Oakfield have managed the letting of my Hastings property for nearly four years. I have always been impressed with,in particular, the professional and efficient manner with which Hannah Stanbridge( Manager) has dealt with any issues. Had a great experience with Oakfield. Me and my wife had been travelling for 6 month in Australia and New Zealand and had to move fast when we came back to England in regards to a flat.
