GoogleNicholsons have been the best estate agents I’ve ever used. If you are looking to sell I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and I would absolutely use them again. Communication is spot on, you have a WhatsApp group and the team are reachable at all times. We’ve had Ash respond to us even over the weekend and bank holidays, brilliant. Initially they came and did photos, a fantastic video walk around for social media, a 3D virtual tour, floorplans…. Everything a potential buyer would want to see. These guys are clever, they’re good at traditional marketing but also very good at marketing across social media and online platforms. They really give your property full visibility and ability to reach many different audiences. We have sold during a time where the market is pretty tough so we did end up reducing the price but I never felt pressured or forced into the decision by Nicholsons. Sometimes estate agents can be pushy (our experience) but these guys were brill. We had three or four viewings before our house sold. Shortly after the viewing, Nicholsons send out a survey to the viewers and send you the feedback via WhatsApp. This is incredibly helpful as you can see the viewers thoughts on your property, their thoughts on the price and if they’re interested. Nicholsons are a very organised team and I couldn’t fault them at all. A cut above the rest. Richard, Mark & Ash - thank you all so much! Love Martine, Richard & Amelia!

GoogleAbsolutely shocking service terrible communication & customer service had to do all the chasing ourselves and when trying to contact via telephone get a response via WhatsApp which I know can be useful but not when it’s in the last few days of completion and to come back with totally incorrect information due to not even following things up they was not even aware we had moved for almost a week & then was only to send the bill . Would definitely not recommend!!!!! The attitude of staff is disgusting so unprofessional both ourselves & our buyer have had a terrible experience with them . Please be aware we never at any point told you we would deal with our buyers directly or mislead our solicitor about paying your bill we had one lie after another when spoke about our issues & yes the WhatsApp group was fine for some things but certainly not when dealing with important issues days before exchange & please be totally aware we would certainly never use you or recommend you to anyone and haven’t heard anyone else in the area have a good word to say about you either!
Thank you for the review Claire, I have now taken the time to look into your complaints. May I say, it is unusual for a client to instruct their solicitor not to settle our bill, and particularly unusual for a client to mislead their solicitor into the reasons behind this. Because of this, and the direct contact you had with your buyer, and agreement made between yourselves to hand the keys over directly, your solicitor felt there was no need to inform us that the contracts for your sale had exchanged and completed on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend. We discovered that this was the case when we returned to work on the Tuesday and chased your solicitor for an update on your file. I have also looked into your complaints around communication, a complaint that you only raised on the Tuesday, when we contacted you to ask how you planned on settling your bill. During your time on the market with us, and during the conveyance of your sale, (excluding phone calls) we communicated on your file 166 times in writing, including 120 WhatsApp messages sent to you as a team, and 46 emails sent chasing for updates on your file from your solicitors. Good communication is somthing that we are praised for on reviews above all else, so on looking into this, I am satisfied that we communicated throughout the transaction effectively. We find that our clients love the convenience of communicating with us at any time if the day through WhatsApp, they enjoy being able pick up and send messages around their busy lives and the time this saves in making phone calls. We did make you aware of our use of WhatsApp before you instructed us as your agents, and you thanked us for setting the group up at the time. So I’m sorry if, in the end, you didn’t enjoy this use of technology. We wish you all the best in your new home, but if you come to sell it in the future, please do not contact Nicholsons Estate Agents.

Mark and Rich were both always available to answer any questions and sort any problems that arose quickly and with minimum disruption to ourselves.
