GoogleAbsolutely shocking agents. We gave them all details they wanted, they didn’t ask for anymore. Then we get a message saying’ unfortunately this property has now been let’. Wasted our time.

GoogleSTAY AWAY STUDENTS. If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst agency around. Makes it common practice to try and scam students of all of their deposit without reason. Contracts are always incorrect, which allows for Loc8Me to scam unsuspecting students easily. The staff (like Jade Pegg and Emily) are positively odious and take advantage of new freshers. STAY AWAY

GoogleAwful experience whilst renting with loc8me in Loughborough for 9 months. When we first moved in things in the flat were broken such as toilet roll holder and the extractor fan with poor finishes such as concrete floor covered in dry paint which looked horrendous. They broke the contact several times by walking into our flat to do viewings we were not made aware of and did not receive 24h notice. The wifi did not work properly for more than 3 months, we would have to hotspot the tv with our phones to watch anything. They lied to us in the viewing stating we could get parking permits for the roads near the property, only to be told when we moved in by the council it’s 2/3 permits per building (there were 9 flats in the building so only 1 flat was allowed permits) we had to risk getting a ticket every time we parked outside our flat because of them, we had no where else to park which left us stressed every day. The electric would randomly turn off in our flat and be off for hours or 2 days whilst we were at work resulting in having to throw away all of our food in the fridge& freezer, we waited all day for this to be fixed (they did not pay the bills, this is why the electric was off) to be told we would have to go and stay in a hotel that night whilst still paying full rent. We did not get all of the food replaced because they would only go to sainsburys which did not sell some of the things we had bought and had to throw away. At one point there was work being done outside, the water suddenly shut off and it would remain off for more than 24 hours, meaning we could not wash our dishes, have a shower, use the toilet/flush the toilet, brush our teeth with water, we had not been warned the water needed to be turned off for more than a day so we could have stayed somewhere else, honestly disgusting. Mould also started to form on the windows because they had not included vents in the plans for the flats, we were given a dehumidifier which didn’t help much and nothing else was ever sorted. We would log repairs that needs doing such as the knobs for the dresser would fall out every time we opened it, they would mark it as repaired, we would get home from work expecting it to be repaired to find out no one had been round to repair it and it had been marked as repaired? it would take weeks for them to repair anything properly. i wouldn’t bother renting with loc8me as the stress of everything was too much to handle and the service was disgusting.We couldn’t wait for the contract to end so we could escape the nightmare. Do not rent with loc8me as we had so many problems it’s not worth the stress!!

GoogleI can confidently say that my overall experience has been very positive eith loc8me. Personally the property has been up to standard and the management have been very helpful. Specifically, I had an issue which was resolved very courteously and fairly by David Murphy who is the property manager. I can recommend Loc8me to any students looking for a place to stain in loughborough :).

GoogleAtrocious service. During tenancy was ok, but they refuse to return deposits even after confirming that they are owed back in full. Predatory/scam, fabricated extra charges snuck in such as rubbish removal for £40 on move out when there is none, had to complain and provide evidence to prove this. Currently waiting for £407 back and have been chasing the office for 5-6 weeks with little clear response and no result. Wanted to rent for a 3rd year with them but they’ve just been impossible to deal with since moving out.

GoogleIf i could give this company 0 stars I would. I booked a studio that was supposed to be ready in august 2021 but was not - even though a contract was signed. The company notified that it wasn’t ready, in august, one month before moving in and failed to provide an alternative. It’s 2023 and I still don’t have my deposit back.

GoogleI booked a studio property with Loc8me in preparation for my move to Loughborough and paid a deposit. It was going to be one of their newly refurbished apartments ready for October. In August, I was informed that the property would not be ready for my move and that the contract would be cancelled or alternatively there were 2/3 other properties left. The next day, I was told only one property was remaining that was half the size of the original studio yet for very similar rent. Overall, I had to deal with last minute cancellations and finding a new place with a different company. I do not recommend booking properties undergoing refurbishments with this company.

GoogleWent to see a property with a very professional and friendly agent, she even took me to another property which I liked more. I used WhatsApp to reserve the room. They texted me to send the details and we will write the contract straight away. I sent the details back within 5 minutes. They texted me back the next day that they gave it to someone else. Very unprofessional and wasted my time.

GoogleThe day I was supposed to move into my apartment someone was still living in my room. The kitchen was full of trash and there was mold in the fridge. We had to contact loc8me several times before it got cleaned. I am still waiting to get my deposit back although my tenancy ended 11 weeks ago. All in all very bad experience and I recommend everyone to not rent with this letting agency!!!
