I cannot begin to put into words the positive experience i had with selling my late Mother's house through Ian Tonge Property Services in High Lane. I live 240 miles away from the house being sold, but whenever I needed any help, no matter what it was, Tonge's stepped in. Apart from their invaluable advice, they also arranged for a Pest Control person to visit to deal with a mouse infestation, arranged an electrician to visit when there was an electrical problem, and arranged for a heating and plumbing engineer to visit. They even offered to visit the house on a weekly basis and check it over in order to validate the house insurance. This was all done at no extra cost. Without Tonge's and their constant updates and help I don't know how I would have managed. I would not hesitate therefore, to recommend Ian Tonge Property Services. They are simply the best!

Avoid this agent at all costs- recently used them to purchase a property which an offer was agreed and paperwork begun. Almost 2 weeks into the sale the agent called to inform us we had been “gazumped” and this agency actively promote and support offers being taken on properties that have pretty much sold. Left to foot the cost of solicitor bills with the agent denying they’ve shown the property to others after our agreed sale. Out for how much money they get for properties by trying to begin bidding wars and lying to cover their tracks- not illegal just immoral and gazumping not supported by many other estate agents. Avoid Stephen in particular who is condescending, unhelpful and professionally un trustworthy.

I have recently used Ian Tonge Property Services at their Hazel Grove office, as I needed to find a new house tenancy quickly due to the property I was renting coming to an end and going up for sale, after identifying a property being for Let on their website, I called the office and requested a viewing, both Pip and Angela in the tenancy team at the Hazel Grove office were fully understanding to my needs, from the first contact and initial viewing of the property to the application, searches and administration the whole process was quick, seamless and very professional, all was incredibly easy, no issues from start to finish, all carried out with the attention and care I hoped for. Whilst they couldn't help me yesterday with a property - the lovely chap I spoke to, took time to listen to my situation, and offer guidance - which I am grateful for. I purchased a house through Ian Tonge high lane and from start to finish it’s been a nightmare. I viewed the house on a Saturday and the estate agent knew nothing about it, didn’t know any details about the house. Then they sold it to me on the basis it wasn’t in a chain, then half way through the sale it then was in a chain… and today the day of completion, I sat outside the estate agents for over an hour waiting for someone to come off their lunch to be able to give me the keys. Who has a shop with one person running it? Absolutely shocking! Had removal vans, pets, the lot all waiting at the house, for me to come back with some keys.

Extremely friendly and hard working estate agents, of which nothing was too much trouble. As soon as we met Jason we knew we wanted to use Ian Tongue. He was honest and friendly and at no point did he try to try any kind of hard sell to use their service (other estate agents did and we didn't like their non personal approach) He was in constant contact throughout the sale and his photos and virtual tour were outstanding. He made our house look amazing, so much so we nearly didn't want to sell! An extremely professional service which resulted in a sale well over asking price. Most of all we liked Jason and his honest, laid back approach. We can't thank him and his team enough.
