GoogleExtremely positive experience partnering with Yasmin from Hurford. It was my first time renting in London and I so luckily chanced upon one of their listings. Apartment knowledge aside, Yasmin was extremely on the ball and responsive in getting the documents in place given time urgency. We had a few trip-ups which could cause delays but her efficiency in coordinating various partners really helped. Her knowledge in guiding a first time renter in London also helped ease out the communication with various stakeholders. The follow-up experience was also smooth and easy to follow. Overall a great exchange with Yasmin and team, extremely grateful!

From the viewing to signing my lease, the process was so quick and all of my questions were answered without hesitation. Really appreciated all of the help throughout. GoogleNot recommended for selling your property. Unless you’re desperate. And maybe don’t even if you are. Just drop the price and anyone can sell it for ya. I saw loads of good ratings for letting out the property and decided to go with them for selling. Fast forward 2 months, I got zero viewings while keeping the flat empty for ease of viewing, and until I picked up the phone to call them, all I got was two emails with lines to the effect of “market is moving against you and you might want to consider lowering the price. But be patient”. Proactive they are not. Well I get that market changes, but surely within two months it didn’t go from “this price is achievable with the right buyer” to zero viewings. Even if it did, call me? Instead of sending emails that don’t sound like it’s a deal breaker at all? They also never ran any analysis on click rate, conversion rate to inquiries and conversion rate to viewings by me, which is apparently what you should expect to get. And rest assured they will hold you to the 28d notice period to terminate the sole agency marketing agreement. Yes, while they generated no viewings for you for two months, they get another month for free. And they were not apologetic about any of it at all. The exact words were “You’re upset?! I’m upset too! You think as an agent I don’t want to sell and earn the fee?!” I’m sorry but I’m the only one suffering from actual financial loss tho. So can I be more upset please? In any case, that’s not how I’d do business and handle my clients. But that’s Hurford Salvi Carr Islington for you. Be warned. I would give 1 star but the pictures taken were decent so there’s that. The agent I won’t name appeared nice and keen and knowledgeable when we first met before i gave my instruction, but was essentially yelling at me when I called today questioning their business practice and asked to be released from the notice period. Oh well. You live and learn.
