GoogleI just viewed a flat for 1350 per month. The letting agent told me to take off my shoes only for my clean socks to have to touch a filthy carpet and very mouldy bathroom (including the floor). Ok I wouldn’t know without viewing, but what got me was the letting agent then said there already been many offers for the flat. That’s the same as the flat being taken. I told her if I knew I wouldn’t have taken half a day off work to view (which I have to make up for). That alone made it a waste of my time. I also emailed the agency about this. Both the letting agent and the agency responded with the same rhetoric that they haven’t sent the offers to the landlord yet and I can compete. You have got to be joking right? Even if I wanted a flat I’m not wasting my time going against loads of applicants. The agency could have least let me know before today so I didn’t lose half a day off work for nothing. If they got loads of offers, why even bother showing the place, it’s misleading.
