House looks like a rush job byβ¦
House looks like a rush job by unsupervised apprentices which somehow was 4 months late. Gleeson are by far an absolute disgrace of a home builder. I am having to finish building it myself because of the amount of flaws with this place. They haven't even installed the fibre box yet and I am 3 months after completion. Avoid at all costs!

my boiler was broken after 4 years Iβ¦
my boiler was broken after 4 years I bought the new house and after repairs every years. My plumber installing new boiler told me it was not installed properly by the developer. They simply did not use chemicals to save few pounds. Water becomes yellow and smelly. My neighbour has same problem. BAD QUALITY!

My friend has bought a brand new home the plastering is dreadful scuff Mark's everywhere, trowel lines, rough patches it looks like a child has done it,Gleeson are ignoring their calls, why is no one arsed, why are they allowed to keep doing this to people, they should be held accountable. I wouldn't purchase a home from this company, people need to boycott them

'Cold' personality
The lady (Karen based in Gleeson office in Sheffield, there are two Karens), who I spoke on the phone with was so 'cold'. It's been a long time since I felt so uncomfortable on the phone. Even if I did like the property I wouldn't proceed buying the house because of her. I can't imagine purchasing a house and need to deal with her. I visited one property a couple of weeks ago. Karen, did not bother at all. She just pointed me the house from her chair, she did not move at all. I went to the house and I thought it was locked so I asked for her assistance. The lady rolled her eyes, came at the door and says 'here, is open' and then went back to her office. I did like the fact that I viewed the house on my own pace to be fair, because, don't get me wrong, I would've feel so uncomfortable being in the same room with the lady. I have never given a bad review before based on personality but my experience with Karen was horrible. Such a cold personality, for me personally, she's driven me away.

Names and contact numbers for FLEESON (gleeson)
Te below comment - that's really strange because I have had all the problems you mentioned and my neighbours have constant water leaks. I bought a development and have been at loggerheads with them for a year . The plumbers are a nightmare JD WINTER if anyone needs any contact numbers rather than email that they tell you to use then when they dont respond anyway use below Demand and demand to speak to someone Also be aware of they have turn up to fix something it will lead to another problem - PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM THEY ARE THREATENING AND BLOCK EMAILS AND EVEN LAUGH AT YOU AND IGNORE YOU HOW THIS COMPANY HAVE NOT BEEN ON WATCH DOG I WILL NEVER KNOWSee below re phone number that they never give you - head office 01740 617210They never give you the above details and advise to log on there stupid system but both thing gets done until you contact the above and do not give up ENJOY π The above are not details they give out but usually ask you to mail there usual build@NES rubbish who never respond I have had the most stressful time for the past year to the point I am now on sick leave for the first time ever due to these cowboysRead more in the press soonGLEESON INSTEAD OF REPORTING THE REVIEWS DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

Absolutely abysmal service
Absolutely abysmal service - within the first month of being there, my shower head attachment broke off the wall, I had a leak in the upstairs bathroom sink which I had to pay Β£75 to get British Gas to come and fix (Gleesons haven't responded at all and won't pay for it or at least contribute to the price even though the plumber said it was a fault with the sink, not because of anything I'd done). When someone from Gleesons FINALLY came round to fix the shower head, ONE MONTH AFTER IT HAD BROKEN, he messed around with my security alarm and broke it. He said he'd get an electrician to come and fix it, but I've not heard anything from him or Gleeson since. Now I have problems with my boiler, my skirting boards don't reach the floor and my alarm is still broken. I used the MyGleeson app and it's absolute rubbish, they get round to you when they feel like it and they don't even do a half decent job. When I was buying the house, the sales rep was incredibly pushy and kept saying how she wanted the sale through asap because it was Christmas and her daughter's birthday coming up so she wanted my money. This is my very first house and Gleeson have absolutely ruined my experience of first time home ownership, I completely 1000% regret buying a house with them - they don't even deserve a 1 star review, they've got the worst sales team and the worst customer service I've ever seen from a company!

We are the second owners of thisβ¦
We are the second owners of this property in the Wheatley Hill Development which is now four years old. The following are the issues I have come across in the past 17 months. The Boiler (Ideal branded)broke down twice in six months costing over Β£200s to be fixed. Both WC cisterns replaced due to leaking water.Thermostat malfunctions while away for two months in the Winter, resulting in large gas bills for an empty house.Poor quality taps, front door rattling, ill fitting patio doors and windows. The structure vibrates during high winds. I have fixed a lot the problems using my own money.NHBC is of little help. The neighbours issues range from water leaking from ducts, design faults with drains, gas leeks.Just waiting now for the next issue to crop up.

DONT BUY
1 star is for the fact that the house is actually standing. All the reviews are true, you move in and there is so much work incomplete, never mind snags. The contractors they use are useless, so even when they do come out to carry out work, itβs not done properly or has to be redone. The more you look the more you find EVERYTHING is a botch job. Buying a new build house you expect to just move your belongings in and your ready, this is very far from it.

I was after a house at ransom court
I was after a house at ransom court, the salesman seemed nice and even gave me a show round on the site, having sold my house i was ready to put a deposit on a house asap. I was told you cant reserve a plot but wait until one comes available and was told by the salesman soon as i receive an email that one was available i was to call him to reserve one, having received the email i called straight away and left a message to reserve a plot, having called several times with no reply i decided to go down to the site, only to find that the house had gone do i asked about 2 others witch were 3 beds and was told they had gone too. I then asked how are you supposed to get one he replied you can book an appointment for the following weeks having gone on the site to make an appointment they were all booked up, why couldn't he of told me this in the first place as i wasted months waiting around, i think they may of tipped someone off when one was coming up, now having read the reviews i can see thay gleeson homes are a see they are a tin pot company with no customer service and im so glad i didnt buy one in the end.

Believe the bad reviews
Me and my wife have bought a house at Kilner Park in Doncaster a few months ago. Before we bought the house the sale assistants seemed good and friendly, but as soon as you place deposit and several months later exchanged contracts the customer service goes down hill. After placing the deposit they said weβd keep you updated on the progress but this never happened we had to chase to get updates on the build of our house. After exchanging contracts they give you access to βmyGleesonβ from there you can submit questions or issues. We submitted a couple of queries a couple of months after moving in they responded but donβt really answer your query (think they should get into politics). The house itself is alright everything look good but some of the materials & fixtures seem cheap.Over all the house is fine, the customer service is not the best but I guess this is what you get when you use a cheap house developer.

Excellent communication
Since buying our house in 2017, I have seen a huge improvement in the customer care at Gleeson Homes, especially in the last couple of weeks when i have had a couple of issues with a leak & a crack in my bathroom. I have had 2 visits from a lovely and very helpful man called Ged whilst having fantastic communication with a lady in the office called Kit. The portal that has now been put in place on the website is a quick and easy way to send a description and upload a photo of the defect. Thank you for your help.. Ashley

Please please take note - GANGSTERS
Please please take note the sales people are all nicely nice but as soon as you have exchanged contracts the fun begins . Absolute gangsters even threatened me if I kept complaining about the issues . I'm 2 years in now and the biggest mistake ever was buying a Gleeson home I am happy to discuss issues with anyone and even the papers area welcome to contact me. I note they are building new homes in Spennymoor now and I feel sorry for anyone buying them

Do you want be healthy?
Will you want be healthy? Avoid any business with them. They are very, very, very poor quality. You couldn't find all mistakes, neglected and intentional scams during the inspection. There are a lot of hidden mistakes even during usage of hauses are invisible. Few of mistakes are visible when warranty runs out and you are alone with mistakes. And them could be costly. They do not repair all complains. Only easy for to do. Gleeson hasn't obdusman and is not available independent negotiator. If you have any dispute with them, only in the court. I move in as first on estate and I have watching progress when hauses growed. You will not see that. Believe meIt was a worster spend money in my live.

Rosebank Liverpool
Nightmare, poor quality houses, built bad, so much so nhbc now involved, site management a joke, they are a disgrace, never return to fix faults, place is a building site but it looks like a tip/dump, sales are liars interested in the commission only. There is a 60 foot maintain of gods knows what because they have not paid to remove the excavated earth, rats foxes blocked drains. Site treat your property as if it was still a gleeson plot. Of course go a head and buy they are cheap, but please please sign nothing till every thing is done and get everything in writing with the names of who you spoke too.

Gleeson Homes Rosebank Liverpool
Moved into Gleeson homes Rosebank Liverpool in July been the worst time of our lives. So much stuff not completed I would be here forever trying to write it all down. Right now our lives feel ruined. The beautiful new build we where promised is nothing short of a home from hell. Uneven walls, wrong pipes, Ill fitting plugs, non working plugs, faulty electrics, half done plastering, vinyl floor cut short and bumpy, carpet miss laid and bumpy, windows doors bathrooms all not sealed properly, things we paid for not done, spent the first few months with a front door on what should of been our back door and when they finally fitted the right back door they ruined all the walls around it, let themselves into our hone and ripped our kitchen out without permission to get to a blocked drain and then when they re fitted our kitchen the cupboards left with holes and dints in huge hole is the wall so you can see insulation, broken extractor fans, cracks everywhere, bits of skirting missing, panels of the cupboards missing. We also had to fight for a path in front of our house as it wasnβt disability friendly (just covered with stones) as my partner has to sometimes use a wheelchair. Honestly I could go on but the list is endless. We new there would be snags but this is more than snags. The original building manager has been sacked because the state of all the houses in the site, and the amount of complaints he got (he had an awful attitude and couldnβt control his staff or his own temper) So now currently we have had to live in a dusty house as they have had to re-plaster and re paint everywhere and waiting for a new kitchen and honestly the dust is so thick. They wouldnβt accommodate us and just kept saying we will hoover even though the plasterer was saying that it wasnβt safe to be there because the dust will keep falling. All my lovely new and old belongings are ruined and all stuff is just dirty. The new plasterer and electrician have said our home looks like it was done by cow boy builders and itβs the worst they have ever seen. But honestly when you see these things in the media you never think it would happen to you. Our lives are currently ruined.

Be warned
We purchased a property in Lancashire and had nothing but problems. In the end we got new build surveys in to conduct a full survey they highlighted issues I and around the problems. Insulation missing, problems with the roof layout (Span) and loads more. I thought these houses was checked with the NHBC. We did get the NHBC involved and they fixed all the problems.
