AVOID GLEESON HOMES
Buying your first home should be a highlight of your life. Gleeson sold us a dream but once they got their money they hardly respond, promises that were made when reservering our plot got twisted and backtracked. Costumer care is just pointless! It’s take 3 weeks to get a response and months to solve an issue. The reviews on Trustpilot are definitely accurate! We do NOT recommend Gleeson homes to anyone.

All staff at Greenfield park have been absolutely fantastic from the first day we showed interest in buying one of their Gleeson homes. Debs in the show room has been like a friend, taking us through our journey from day 1 to the day we moved in our beautiful new home. The house it’s self is beautiful light and refreshing, we love putting our stamp on our home. All site staff are friendly, again they are there for you any problems you come across they are there to put them right. The owners of the houses that are occupied have all been friendly and welcoming. We have no faults at all with Gleeson, we have only been in our property less than a week and we feel so at home. Thank you Debs and all at Gleeson.PositiveResponsiveness, Punctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesHome building

First Time Buyer
My experience being a first time buyer was a very quick process to say the least but this was due to the house being built almost a year, nevertheless that didn’t put me off. From the very beginning Adam the Sales Executive has been very helpful and informative and guided me every step of the way. Every time I felt stressed or anxious, he quickly reassured me that everything will go to plan and it did. I’m very happy with the house and the Site Management Richard and Dec have been brilliant in sorting out the very little snags I identified. Overall I can say I am very pleased, I fell in love with the development straight away as the area is very beautiful and peaceful.Sarah - Plot 91 - The Pastures, Bilsthorpe

Shocking customer after care
Been in the house almost a year, snags pointed out within months (1 on key day) of completion still be be completed or been told it’s not getting done or has been half arsed (key day snag is hidden behind the fridge) not the point. Leading up the the completion we had less and less updates almost like they didn’t want us to know that our house was going to be delayed or had no work done to it for a while. Wasn’t even told it passed inspection, solicitor and mortgage informed us the expected completion date and the rest of the bill. Handover was atrocious, got told nothing on the day, in fact the person who do it was looking at us to help her with the check list. Took 4/5 months to get an option we paid for to be installed since it was missing, was mentioned in a email after key day just clarifying if it will be installed just before completion. When we got the keys all of the quality stickers were still all over the house and hadn’t/haven’t been fixed (were there on demo and more was noticed during demo and still the same state on completion).Master bedroom is constantly cold, sure the radiator is too small for the room (the room is the size of the garage), some radiators are very small. Despite being told we have 2 years to snag get told we left it too late or we could’ve caused the snag ourselves. Other than the very poor customer care after completion and leading up to it, you can make it a very nice and cosy home. Can tailor it to your personal style as it’s a blank canvas.

Lies - From Day One
From the sales manager deceiving us with wrong information, to the constant mis-communication and cover ups with the aftercare team, I can honestly say that we have been lied to from the beginning. Two years on and the garden drainage is just one of the on-going issues. We are being made to feel like we are the greedy ones, when all we want is for them to deliver on their promises. I understand that new builds will always have snags, but this is so much more than that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Terrible, New cars don't come with scratches
Hi, I forgot to mention, the upstairs bathroom doesn't come with a shower. It is only a bath tub. It is half tiled. I had an estimate from a guy that wanted £1,200. to do this. Please read my other review. I'm disgusted. Snag list is a mile long. Whole house needs replastered. Incententives were taken from me. If you buy a Gleeson house, get whatever it is in writing. Shortly after I bought my house at Rhodes Point, carpets and flooring is standard. There is a Kilkenny model across from me, detached, single garage for £14k less than mine, all upgrades included. I didn’t get Jack s£&@

What a letdown..
What a letdown! We were super excited to secure a spot in one of Hapton's new builds. We jumped through hoops, sold our home, and just when we were ready to seal the deal, bam! Head office decided to yank all the properties off the market. To make matters worse, the local sales office staff suddenly were rude. It's like they only cared about making a quick sale. Just seemed a bit odd. Honestly, this whole ordeal has left us beyond disappointed. I wouldn't dream of recommending Gleesons to anyone. We've wasted so much precious time, and have now left us in a position we have a sold property with nowhere to go. And let's not even get started on those absurd “fleecehold” policies! Maybe not buying a Gleesons property is a blessing in disguise?Trust me, save yourselves the headache and steer clear of Gleesons. They've shown their true colors, and it's not a pretty picture.I’ve spoken to their head office and there response is that they are all have been sold, and there’s another property but it’ll be 9 months or so before it’ll be ready and asked if I can rent until then … All the properties were pulled so it’s either an investment company have snatched them up, but there’s also a wider assumption that they were pulled from the market to hold them to sell them for a bit more money..

No such thing as part exchange
What a waste of time and effort. We wanted to part exchange our home for a gleason home, went through 2 estate agents coming to value our home, apparently the company they use only want houses 40 year old or less. They don't want to know about my Edwardian stone built house, they won't be able to sell it quickly.. is that all people are bothered about???? Profit profit profit, they don't care about people's feelings. The house we chose was perfect in every way, ticked all the boxes. Just to be smashed to earth. Part exchange... what a con. Useless, pointless exercise. Very disappointed with gleason. They need to inform people that the buying company dont want older houses.

Visited friends who have just moved up here. The estate is still work in progress but the homes definitely have an appeal. And just a stone's throw away you can walk behind the site up along a farmers field and you can see the sea. The beach is around ten mins away and Seaham is quite close too. The estate / entrance area near the roundabout has a Christmas tree in place with a plaque for Bradley Lowery . This was really poor. With only 5 decorations on it. It was very underwhelming.😞

Nearly two years since I moved in and…
Nearly two years since I moved in and still not completed customer service are as much use as a chocolate tea pot lies lies and more lies . Really pleased with the house just a shame the drive into the cul de sac and our houses still not done neighbours have rang often and each time customer service manager will give a new date I have rang leaving messages and do not get the curtesy of a call back managers up the line need to get a grip and stop believing lower management who say unicorns are real I would not recommend gleesons to a worst enemy . The stress it causes to customers is always overlooked and covered with more lies Do not buy a gleeson home they have no care once you pay for your home

Buyers be aware!
Just had yet another email from the 'customer service manager', stating we aim to complete our sites within 12 months of the build being finished. In my world 22 months is longer than 12 months! Again Gleeson have said that weather hasn't permitted completion of this site, yet they have managed to proceed with their next development which is only 1/2 a mile away! What an unprofessional attitude. Again, buying a new home should be a highlight for anybody. Gleeson have caused us so much stress over the last 2 years that I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. If we ever moved, I would never even view a Gleeson site again.

Still waiting for the house to be finished 22 months after moving in!
Well, we've now been in our house for 22 months and Gleeson STILL haven't completed the work! The rest of the estate has been completed but we have not had our driveway done. Gleeson promise month after month that it WILL be done, yet here we are still waiting. Worse experience we've ever had. If I had £1 for every apology they offer, I could pay my mortgage off.
