GoogleWe bought out house nearly two years ago, and are happy enough with the build, however since moving in and the initial few months of having the previous site manager deal with any problems you gey moved onto the customer care team to deal with any issues, this is where you realise that any problems you may have will not be dealt with promptly and that Elan will just fob you off, we found a crack in a bath panel that was poorly fitted and was told it was something we had done just by semding a few pics to them, it was a joke how we were just fobbed off, however this was only a small cost so we just paid ourselves, then in jan 26 after months of not being able to walk on our lawn we raised yo them it was full of builders rubble, bricks plastic etc and turf had just been thrown on top and did not meet the building spec. We had bricks sticking out of the lawn it was and still is completely unusuable, 6 months later after many ignored phone calls and too many emails to remember it is still anywhere near being sorted. We are tired of being fobbed off with poor excuses, just be warned if you are condidering to purchase a house from this company that there after sales team are poor and will do everythimg they can to not have to spend any money to rectify problems and will mess you about, im sure they must think that if they hold off long enough customers will get so fed up with it and just go away, however we will just have to be persistant in our battle to get put right what is wrong and poor workmanship and a clear disregard for building regs.

GoogleReally poor quality homes, very badly designed, poor quality finish in the show homes, so cannot imagine the finish in the other homes. They had definitely not paid a professional to dress the show homes. Wallpaper from The Range, really cheap furniture, colours too drab. 4 bedrooms in what should be a 2 up, 2 down, with a tiny living area. Don't waste your time going to view these houses. (Just my opinion)

GoogleAbsolutely atrocious. We've been here for 2 years & are still having to negotiate raised ironwork to drive to our property. The estate is a mess, with the open spaces still to be finished. Elan just give lip service, but nothing actually happens. I wish we'd never bought this house, the last 2 years have been a nightmare.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your frustration regarding the short notice about the rescheduling of the surfacing works. We regret the inconvenience this may have caused and assure you it was a necessary decision due to a change in contractors. However, we remain fully committed to completing the works and have moved swiftly to appoint a new contractor who is scheduled to begin mobilisation in November. Once we have finalised the start date, we will inform you so that you have as much notice as possible.

GoogleI bought a new build property from Elan this year and unfortunately in the recent windy weather, two ridge tiles were blown off the roof leaving a hole. Being ridge tiles, these should be fixed in place with cement and so shouldn't simply get blown off, particularly being so new. Elan are refusing to take responsibility and trying to force me to claim on my home insurance. This has been such a shame and disappointment to what have thusfar been very nice homes.

Thank you for your comments above. Here at Elan Homes we never wish to disappoint our customers and always strive to deliver a high standard of customer care. We would respectfully point out there were reports of Storm Gerrit inflicting damage to many properties across the Tameside area but we will endeavour to ensure we check the roofs in question to establish if you will be required to make a claim via your Insurance Company for Storm damage or if the damage is deemed a defect covered by your warranty. Should any of the roofing works be a defect, these will be corrected as per the terms of your warranty.
