GoogleI had a very disappointing experience with Cameron Estates. The check-in process was far from smooth. Although I was informed of my move-in date, I was never told that there were fixed check-in time slots. I had requested a weekend check-in, but this was refused. I agreed to move in on a weekday, only to be informed at the last minute that I could collect the keys only in the evening. This forced me to extend my stay at my previous accommodation and incur additional costs. When I raised the issue, I was simply told that the check-in was handled by a third party and that nothing could be done. As a tenant, I don't believe this is an acceptable response. The letting agent should remain accountable for the overall move-in experience. The property was also handed over in an unacceptable condition. I had specifically requested to view the property after the cleaning had been completed, but this never happened. It was evident that no proper inspection had been carried out after the cleaners finished. The bathroom was in a very poor hygienic condition and required immediate attention. The kitchen had visible grease, and the microwave had not been cleaned. Basic cleaning standards were simply not met. Another major concern was that an air fryer, which was present during the viewing, had been removed before I moved in. During the viewing, I was informed that all kitchen appliances would remain with the property. I even clarified other items, such as the TV and mirror, but was never told that the air fryer would be removed. It was disappointing to find that what had been represented during the viewing did not match what was actually provided. Throughout the process, I often felt that concerns were dealt with by saying, "it was told," rather than being communicated clearly and documented properly. This led to unnecessary confusion and avoidable stress. Overall, my experience was frustrating due to poor communication, a lack of accountability, and inadequate preparation of the property before handover. I hope Cameron Estates improves its communication, inspection process, and customer service so that future tenants have a much better experience.

Following your concerns, I attended the property personally on your move-in day to discuss the issues with you face to face. The landlord had arranged for the property to be professionally cleaned prior to the start of your tenancy. Whilst I agreed that some areas required further attention, I am already in the process of arranging for the cleaners to return as soon as possible to address any areas that were missed. It is also worth noting that this is not a brand-new property. Whilst we expect the property to be clean and well presented at the start of a tenancy, some signs of age and fair wear and tear are to be expected and should not be mistaken for a lack of cleanliness. I have also responded to your concerns directly by email to clarify the points you raised. In particular, the property was viewed whilst the landlord was still in occupation, and any personal belongings present at that time were not included as part of the tenancy unless specifically agreed. We also provided you with a written list of the items that would remain at the property to ensure there was no misunderstanding. We take all feedback seriously and always aim to resolve any genuine concerns promptly and fairly. I appreciate you bringing these matters to my attention and will continue to work with you to ensure the cleaners re-attend and address any outstanding areas identified following your check-in.
