GoogleRecently purchased, wasn’t really fond of the experience other than Nick who showed me round at the very start. Also did not correctly display the service charge, which I have found out now is more than as advertised. As per the response they offered I am not complaining about the delays, more about the lack of willingness to help/communicate and a general cold feeling that was given. Would avoid.
Thank you for sharing your feedback, we completely empathise with how prolonged the process was. To provide some context, this particular case involved a unique set of hurdles. The process was significantly extended due to the property being transferred into a French company name, which then required the company itself to be formally registered here in the UK. These requirements unfortunately took much longer to finalise than anticipated. While these were external factors, we understand that the delay was still your experience and can see why you were not fond of it. However we hope now you are enjoying your new home and have everything set up.

GoogleNick carried out a Level 3 survey for us. His report was meticulous and he had been very thorough in his assessment of the property. We spoke with Nick who kindly walked us through any issues & how to address them, his knowledge was invaluable and we found him to be very approachable. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a survey!

GoogleExtremely frustrating and stressful experience. Would not recommend this landlord/estate agent to anyone. I’ve been renting from this agency for several years, and I can honestly say it’s been a nightmare. From the very beginning, their attitude towards tenants has been threatening and disrespectful. They constantly try to gain access to your property for so-called “checks,” often with very little notice, which feels more like an invasion of privacy than anything else. Over the past four years, my rent has increased by over 50%. This huge rise, with no real improvements made to the property, feels completely unjustifiable, especially when you consider the lack of attention they give to basic maintenance issues. To top it all off, they seem to be determined to withhold as much of your deposit as possible. Even after leaving the property in good condition, I was hit with charges for "cleaning" and "repairs" that were never needed. Overall, this agency has shown a complete lack of professionalism and regard for tenants. If you value your peace of mind and want a landlord who treats you with respect, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. Renting from them has been an incredibly stressful experience, and I only wish I had known what I was getting into from the start.

For clarity, all rent reviews, inspections, and access arrangements were carried out in accordance with legislation and with the Landlords agreement, the tenancy agreement and statutory requirements, and maintenance issues raised during the tenancy were addressed through the appropriate channels. The deposit was referred to the Deposit Protection Service for independent adjudication, which reached a final and binding decision based on the evidence provided by both parties. We always aim to manage properties fairly and professionally and wish you well in your future accommodation.

GoogleWe used brackets in order to find a rental property for our friend. The commitment and communications throughout the whole process have been outstanding. Alfie has kept in touch with us on a regular basis and taken us through each step with a very professional and friendly manner, helping us to feel supported and informed the whole time. We are so grateful to Alfie and the team for assisting us during what had turned into a difficult and stressful situation. However, the moment we spoke with Brackets, Alfie’s calm, friendly and supportive attitude reminded us that it didn’t need to be so stressful and that we just needed someone knowledgeable and patient to assist us through the process which is exactly what he did perfectly. GoogleWe worked with Tyson, who provided us with a comprehensive level 3 survey. We found the service to be excellent, Tyson was always willing to take our calls to answer questions and provided a thorough and thoughtful survey. We had heard tales of other survey providers phoning it in with areas they couldn't reach, however we found that a justified opinion was always given based on the areas that could be viewed. I would certainly recommend Tyson - and if his work is indicative of Bracketts, then I would recommend Bracketts too.

GoogleWe purchased a property through Bracketts. While I understand that an agent's main duty is to their client, for the most part (with one exception) the communication was awful. By my rough calculations, about a quarter of our calls were returned, and about half our emails - and we were by no means bombarding them. Additionally the EPC and floorplan were both incorrect - admittedly this was produced by an outside company, but it should still be the agent's responsibility to ensure it's correct. This was our 5th time purchasing a property, and the only time we have been genuinely frustrated by the selling agent.

GoogleLouise Martin was great in helping me with my first property purchase. She was professional and knowledgeable about the properties I viewed, in stark contrast to other estate agents I had viewings with. I was very impressed with her prompt response time to my emails and her willingness to help me speed up a sometimes slow moving legal process, even though this wasn’t her job to do. Even though I obviously wasn’t her actual client where I was the buyer, she cleared cared a lot about everyone involved and getting the best deal possible for all parties. I would highly recommend Louise and Bracketts to anyone in a similar position as I was in.
