I did not like the way I was spoken to by the salesman, he was quite abrupt and talked down to me when discussing the extras package. The package we had previously been offered had been withdrawn and apparently would not be offered so we cancelled our purchase and will now look elsewhere.

The sales team on Vanbrugh Gate, especially Julie, have been excellent. They have gone above and beyond their normal activity to help us to move to our new home. The site manager (Jason) is very helpful and has ensured the house has been accessible throughout, despite having restricted space on site and tight turnaround deadlines.Can't fault the team at Vanbrugh Gate.

She guided us through the whole process and kept us calm, answering our every need and making sure the move happened as smoothly as possible, given that we were a complex chain. She was honestly the loveliest person we could have hoped to have had on our side. Our house itself is beautiful and on a great plot. We met Bella at Summerville Village last week. We turned up with no appointment but she went above and beyond to talk through what was available and even managed to get us back for an appointment to show us inside a home the same day. She explained everything so clearly and reassured us when we were having a bad day after making a life changing decision. She found us the perfect plot for us and our needs. The support since has been great too, she has kept us updated every step of the way so far. Thank you!

Reserved a plot on the Summerville Village development and due to move in this week. I originally dealt with Angela who was brilliant and helped me find the perfect plot. I now deal with Bella the sales advisor who has also been amazing throughout. Answered all my questions and has been supportive every step. Always super friendly and helpful during meetings and is always at the end of the phone when needed.I was also recommended to use their solicitors on their panel - Jackson’s law and I’m so glad I did! I know most people don’t usually have great things to say about their solicitors but I can’t fault them at all. Daniel especially has been a saviour. No question is too much hassle and he has reassured me through every step.As stressful as selling and buying a house is, Bella & Daniel have made it so much better and the added reassurance has really helped.Can’t wait to move into my new home hopefully this week!

I recently had a technician called Laura who came to fix items on my snagging list. Laura's comms were second to none and she did her job to a high standard. Upon entry to my home Laura commented that the hallway was cold. She quickly noticed that the door was misaligned and fixed that for me, just because she could. Thanks so much!

Our experience with sales advisor Angela at Copper Gardens was very positive. Angela is a credit to Avant.She was helpful, friendly , efficient and knowledgeable. Whilst we missed out on the property we were wanting it was a pleasure to deal with Angela.Our only negative aspect with Avant was that there was no local show homes to view which did impact on our decision.

We first met Jane at the Desborough site who was so friendly and helpful and kindly asked Caroline in Barton Seagrave to show us around two houses so we could see the layout of the homes. Caroline went above and beyond and stayed one hour and ten minutes past her closing time of 5pm. Incredible customer service and so friendly and helpful. We will be back to buy one of her houses all because of her incredible customer service. What an incredible asset she is to have working for your company.

We’ve been waiting for 19 months so far now for our property in Leeds after deposit but still not yet ready and was informed by email today that it has to be delayed again until next year by using different excuses so far since last year. We can’t believe that a big developer as Avent Homes is such unreliable and providing such a poor service to their customers. Very disappointing!!!Follow up: They contacted us to explain again on the next day after our comment on Trustpilot but still haven’t received any confirmation of completion. We were told now that they will see if they can solve the problem as soon as possible but not promising and requested if we can delete the comment here.

I emailed them with a query regarding land ownership which they have totally ignored. They only seem to be interested in selling new homes, nothing else matters to them. It also appears that staff turnover, particularly Directors is very high.

Terrible company, terrible customer service. Once you have parted with your money, they are no longer interested. Be prepared to have correspondence ignored and snags outstanding for months. Sub par finishes to internal and external finishes and the general estate including roads and shared spaces. Steer clear.

We have just moved into our new property on Brecks Lane Park, Rotherham. Jane our sales advisor has been fantastic throughout the process from the first day we visited site. She has guided us through the process of buying our new home and kept us in the loop every step of the way with weekly build updates. Even now we are moved in she is still there for anything we need. Lisa has also been great, our new homes coordinator. We part exchanged our old property and honestly this took so much stress out of moving. Lisa was brilliant when coordinating with ourselves and the solicitors and we couldn’t believe how smoothly our exchange and house move went. Andy one of the site managers has also been great and completed a thorough demonstration of our house with us before we moved in. Anything we have needed sorting has been sorted quickly and attentively. Jade our customer liaison manager has also been brilliant. She arranged to visit this week to check how we were getting on in our new house. She is super friendly and helpful and is extremely knowledgeable on any questions we asked. Overall our experience has been excellent right from the start with the team at Brecks Lane Park and we are super happy with our lovely new home.

We have just completed with Avant and are in our new home which we completely love. Throughout the process Jane, our sales advisor, has been fantastic. She’s kept us updated with weekly build progress reports that we always looked forward to and made sure we had always the information we needed, helping us through the buying process. She has been there for us every step of the way to answer our questions (as confused first time buyers), even going the extra mile to help us decide if we could fit the sofa we wanted in our new home!We had our demonstration with Andy, the site manager, who was very knowledgeable and showed our house was built to an incredible standard. There have been some small snags we noted as we moved in (as is the case with every new build) but Andy and the site team sort them straight away and are making us feel very looked after and in safe hands.The whole team are lovely to chat to and are really making us feel welcome in our new home. We’re really pleased we went with Avant.

House I purchase back in 2018 was cold and after 5 years of fighting them with evidence of thermal image report from accreditation technical Manager both avant homes and NHBC have refused to acknowledge the serious structure of the property. How pathetic of them having their own technical person with a credit card to show the cause of the cold draft coming through windows where I was fully informed there airflow issues where they haven’t met the building regulations, I am now going down the legal route after real evidence clearly shows the seriousness or the lack of work done I have avant homes laughed at my face via email and told me any legal representative to send correspondence through to HO. The directors Jeff Fairburn, Mark Mitchell have ignored my plea. . Total greed!!!!

If I could have put 0 stars I would. Absolutely horrific company to buy from and deal with. They don't communicate at all. They finished the build 7 months late but only answered the phone to us the day before we were meant to move in 4 times to tell us "it won't be tomorrow" 2 years later and we're STILL trying to get snags sorted that were reported the week we moved in. We have had water issues comi g out of our ears! The only thing that held water when we first moved in was the dog bowl! Mould all over, loft.. still drenched all the time! Wooden floors we had put down... Destroyed at our cost! They wipe their hands as soon as money is exchanged. Sewage backing up in toilets. Extractor vents duck taped on .. yes tape.. this is just a few issues.. the list is endless. Gardens are just as bad. Like a swamp is the easiest description... You also have to fight to get your deposit back! My only advise is don't do it. It ruined our whole experience of buying our first house together.... What was meant to be a lovely new home for a young couple... Feels like a prison.. run for the hills and get your deposit back whilst you still can!

Low built quality homes. I am disappointed and know I have nowhere to go with this complaint. I observed lot of bulging in ceilings near kitchen and it’s now slowly coming down at top corners.
