Great after sales service

Received a great example of after sales service today made possible by Julie (the after sales representative at Wellington Park Sunderland). Due to an oversight the lawn of our very large garden was not laid at the time of moving in, but after a massive effort by Julie arranging Landscapers etc. it was laid today and looks amazing. I can't thank all concerned enough for their efforts and its nice to know that Avant care even after the keys are handed over.

Problems solved

Having had to contact Customer Services at Avant several times, my problems have always been handled by Laura who is very professional and courteous and has always arranged for everything to be sorted out for me as soon as possible.

Just spoken to Avant Homes Customer…

Just spoken to Avant Homes Customer Service Manager for Yorkshire. OMG, what an attitude and rude person. She has the attitude of “ We are Avant Homes and we will do what we like “! Would suggest the company invest some money in retraining this rude person and explain the meaning of Customer Service and how to be polite instead of conceited.

Lewis with 5* customer service!

Myself and my wife have recently attended the Avant development at Skelton lake in Leeds. We had been looking at the development and decided to call in for a look and a chat. From the moment we arrived Lewis made us feel welcomed, he had great knowledge of the area and the planned long term development as well. He gave us information to leave with and has been in touch with us since to make sure we have what we need. Needless to say when the time comes for us to move we will be going to see Lewis in the near future!!

SUMMERVILLE VILLAGE Have lived here for 1 year.Sale representative Angela Kingsley could not have been more helpful through the whole process of our house purchase, always had time for questions and issues. Customer after care north also very proactive and have dealt with all our snags although purely cosmetic efficiently and we are very happy in our new home

Avant just don't keep their word.

First of all, I want to say that we have encountered no problems with the quality of the house. The build itself has been fine. We are in a 5 bedroomed Chesham.However, there have been ongoing issues regarding our plot, with works required now for 12 whole months. Time and time again, we have been assured that the works are going to happen, we have even been given dates by various people in customer services, and by the site team. And yet, time and time again, the works have not happened. I have an extensive email trail, where the customer services team commit to making things happen, but invariably, they don't happen. The amount of time that these endless communications have taken over the past 12 months is absolutely ridiculous, and as I say, we have been let down time and time again.Avant - please stay true to your word - you need to be better organised.

Ongoing issues

We have had issues with the house for over 2 years and they will not address them The Customer Services are rubbish I'll ring back ,I'll email you ,send more photos of the problem, I'm on site I'll come and see you these are most of the replies you get and nothing happens We have continued issues with badly fitted kitchen doors falling off The land at the end of the drive should have been landscaped but it was left and is now an eyesore. We areextremely frustrated and disappointed with how we are being treated

We reserved an Avant show home

Last year we reserved a show home after seeing the build quality at Avant Homes. The windows and doors are not flimsy at all and will stand the test of time. We fell in love with the bi folds as a standard and the size of each room did not make you feel like it was a new build. The bathroom items are stylish and well fitted. A lot of thought goes into each house and the workmanship is 100% there. While we waited for our completion day, we read the reviews on trustpilot. We braced ourselves for a fight to get all issues ironed out and in a timely manner. It's been 4 weeks since we've moved in and I can honestly say that I now feel part of the Avant family! Customer service are ALWAYS available to get that call logged or to answer your question. The workmen call ahead and pop in on the off chance they can get it fixed quicker than quoted. The bug list is minor. I've logged things like the light on the front needs tightening to scratches on a radiator. As you can see they are very minor but Avant do not make you feel petty when logging it. They send the most amazing and highly skilled person round to not only make you smile but to get the job done to your standards and sign, only if your happy! Everyone at Avant goes above and beyond to make sure your dream home stays a dream! The reservations we had at the beginning of this journey has now gone. We've spoken to Sales and Customer service teams to directors and formen and everyone have made us feel like the decision to buy an Avant home will be the best decision you've made.. and they are not wrong! Thank you to those individuals at Avant, who know us and have made us laugh instead of cry every step of the way.

Support received

As with every new build, there are always a fair few issues expected along the way. We've had a few crop up just over a year after moving in. Shelby at Yorkshire customer services has been excellent handling these in the way of liaising re: suitable times for technicians to come, responsive, providing updates and always very kind.

They will flaunt their "5-Star Housebuilder" rating and "Designer" living, but in reality you will be inheriting yourself an abundance of snag issues and many headaches for years to come. Customer service will be helpful for the first 3 months of your purchase, but they will quickly forget about you after they have gotten a good NHBC rating within that period. Adam was fab

Adam was fab! Turned up as expected, carried out the work to a really high standard, friendly, great with my daughter and our dog who were both very interested in what he was doing. If the review was purely for Adam I would have given 5* however our overall Avant experience hasn’t been great, hence the 3* review.

Avant Technicians great, customer service not so good.

Babington Quarter- Gary has been a few times to our home now and always gone above and beyond to help us and get issues sorted he’s very knowledgable, friendly and helpful would give him 5 stars but the overall company and customer service is not great wouldn’t buy another Avant home.Been in a year and issues since day one are finally getting sorted.
