Sales process: Really poor communication and sales process overall. Often taking multiple calls/emails to obtain the correct information. Lazy contracts, typos, simply crossing out someone else's name (our neighbours) and pencil writing ours in, multiple missing reference documents. Refusal to acknowledge there is a "snag list" or any form of snagging process despite them previously mentioning it (I've never heard the term before so I'd only have picked it up from them). Everything was a battleHouse: Once initial snags were fixed, scratched handles, doors catching/rubbing the floor, broken thermostat (nothing major) all was fine for a while. Cracking, as expected, was fixed 1.5 years after house built with no issues. Within a year doors were not hanging straight, plug sockets (barely used) were coming loose, cooker fan we discovered was bodged with masking tape and nail pops were common. Garden was full of large rubble, solid bricks, whole packs of tiles, basically the site tip The site completion date came and went, appreciate things may be out of their control on this one but worth noting These are budget houses, it shows, you can hear everything your neighbours do. Might not bother you, its just not what I expected from a house built so recentlySimply put, I will never entertain the idea of having another new house with this company. Glad we moved out!

We almost lost the property if not for him.An agent from Bairstoweves who did not like us much, thats what we think, wanted to give the unit to other party who can give much more than the price we knew which is £291, 995. We did not really realized that the property is in auction that we need give a higher offer. Anyway to the cut it short, my husband ask help from Adam from Bellway where we also have interest in the houses before, to send our message to Nilesh who we talk to last year and discussed everything to us but it is just that we are not financially ready that time. Having viewed our house after Xmas we were pushed all the way along to complete ASAP. This was achieved end of March , despite lockdown, despite our reservations of moving our family we were chased up to two times a day and given no flexibility, we would move during lockdown whether we wanted to or not ! In the month before moving in standards of work slipped drastically, flooring protection etc had been removed , QA checks disappeared leading to the day we moved in. Which was to a dirty house with none of the promised instructions. After Care from Customer Care has become No Care , no plans re snag lists , no 3 , 7 or 10 day , a toilet that we can’t use , a lawn that we paid extra for that we’ve never seen the likes of , and dirty carpets and flooring that we also were charged for . Whilst we love our house , the lack of customer care , plans have tarnished that . The attitude of Customer care is they have carte Blanche to do nothing and blame COVID 19 . Correspondence is off hand with no understanding this is our home , care and customer are not appropriate words. Hopefully the issues will be managed as we move out of the current situation with the virus , but so far I would not recommend moving into a Bellway/ Ashberry house at the current time.

We bought a house from Ashberry Homes last year. The house was ready before we were ready to move in so they rushed all the handover paperwork to transfer the responsibility to the aftersales customer care team. When we moved in, we found out that the garden was messy and the carpets were not cleaned. After multiple emails with the Bellway Customer Services (Ashberry's sister company), they agreed to provide an additional carpet cleaning service and a garden service. The loan was mowed on a very rainy day and the garden ended up with multiple bald areas. We contacted with them again, showed the pictures and again after multiple emails, they agreed to provide an after service to bring the garden back to normal. After 3 additional visits, the garden is still in the same condition and they don't take any responsibility from now on. The overall service was quite satisfactory until we had to deal with the after sales customer services team. Our advice to the potential customers is to ensure Ashberry Homes provide a proper garden before the move in date, otherwise you have to deal with the poor after-sales customer services and may end up with no success on your issues.

Would be 5star if the price on our sales sheet had not gone up by £3000 when we returned to place our deposit a week later. Shame the price on our sales sheet could not be honoured.
