Property hunting is always difficult. I was working with number of real estate companies simultaneously to find a property that would suit our needs. I had a chance to work with Alice Maynard from Anscombe & Ringland and through out our property hunting journey she was super accommodating and very easy to work with. I was impressed by her follow ups when we were trying to find a place, and even more impressed with the follow through once we signed the lease. All in all, I can't think of anything better she could have done. My experience with the real estate company was unique to my interaction with her, and for that I think they deserve 2 thumbs up (or 5 stars). I will definitely use these guys again. Highly recommend working with Alice in Highgate area.

Everybody at Anscombe & Ringland have knocked themselves out to make this house sale a positive experience for my daughter and myself. From the 'front of house' guys in Totteridge Lane, the administrators at Head Office, and the Directors I've had the pleasure of dealing with, I have always been aware that we are one team, with Anscombe very much playing on 'our' side. We came across Anscombes when we went to view a house they were marketing which we really liked. We then put our house on the market through them the following week at a competitive commission rate. We had great photos done and viewings were arranged really quickly. From putting our house on the market at beginning of Feb, to finding a buyer, losing a buyer, finding another buyer, and then moving into our new house at end of July, 6 months start to finish was pretty good going I think. Liam and Matthew were very professional, approachable and responsive. They also encouraged us to deal direct with our buyer on a sticking point with their solicitor. This ended with things being resolved very quickly and I would encourage others to have direct contact between themselves rather than relying completely on solicitors. Despite a few minor hiccups, looking back the process was really very straightforward. I would use Anscombes in the future and recommend them to others.

Matthew and Liam at A&R have been absolutely brilliant in helping us to sell our house. Their professionalism and attention to detail were second to none. I was kept informed at all stages of the process of selling our house and their advice and good humour cannot be faulted. My fiancé and I recently moved to London from Australia and were having a lot of trouble finding an apartment. We were thankful to find Zoe Sophocles from Anscombes who was patient, persistent, and was not overly "salesy" (this is something that irks me about other estate agents). Zoe ended us showing us three great apartments that fit our requirements and were within our budget, something that other agents struggled to do. I decided to rent my flat out in Notting HIll. Edward from Anscombe & Ringland was extremely helpful - he gave me some pointers on how to furnish my flat, in terms of what people who are renting are looking for and provided a realistic rental income to expect. A lot of agents say they will be able to get you a very high price and then once you are on their books will say that the rental market is not so strong and that you need to drop your price.

Having recently moved from NZ to the UK, finding a suitable place to rent in London is not an easy task. Anscombe and Ringland in Notting Hill were superb in helping me find my fabulous, perfectly positioned place. I'd particularly like to commend Hugh Saffrey who has been wonderful throughout. He was very personable, friendly, and particularly helpful in showing me other properties that I might be interested in (he saved the best till last!). He clearly explained the process and what needed to happen when. He has been consistent in following up, communicated regularly, was very organised, and checked to ensure that all was going to plan. His customer relations are excellent. I even took the liberty of suggesting Hugh receive some form of monetary reward for going that extra mile. Was looking to rent a place in Notting Hill and stopped in at A&R without notice. Hugh worked with me through the process and was very flexible with setting up viewings at short notice and trying to find me the right place. I recently bought my first property in SJW and RJ went above and beyond the call of duty to execute this for me. From sending me details of exactly the type of flat I was looking for and taking a very professional approach from start to finish as well as always being on hand to answer my questions and solve any issues that came up along the way, RJ exceeded my expectations. There was not a call or email left unanswered, even on weekends and through the whole process I felt I was in very good hands. There is no doubt that it will be RJ that I go to for anything I need relating to property from now on. Selling and buying is a big risk and plunge especially in these times of rapidly increasing prices and low availability but, I have done them both successfully with the help of Nicholas Madden-Kenny at A & R St John's Wood. The thing is that both these processes don't just require an offer or finding a suitable place but need perseverance to get the conveyancing done and this is what I acquired from the services of this very competent agency. Incredibly better than all the estate agents I contacted and absolutely concerned to see that I was happy with the offer and with the purchase. Its not the first time I have used them and I credit their manager Dean who runs the show like a family and is very dependable. Nicholas really went way beyond what is expected from anyone and they are really not just concerned with commissions but more with having happy feedback and returning clients.

I bought my first property through A&R three years ago. Lucy was the selling agent and she been extremely helpful, has been chasing the lawyers to make sure the transaction closes ASAP. She was also very honest with us. Three years later when it comes the time for us to move, we contacted A&R to sell our property. Lucy was on leave but her colleagues Dean and Jack were extremely helpful and they managed to find me a buyer off market in record time. Once a buyer was secured, Nick, who looked after house sales, helped us secure the dream house we wanted expeditiously. The whole process was at times difficult and took almost 2 months from the seller agreeing to the offer to exchange, but the team from A&R was always at hand to help. Completing a purchase through a chain in the current environment in London is always difficult, I am glad that through A&R we managed to have it done. When the time comes for us to sell our house, we will definitely go back to A&R for their help.
