The people here are not nice, efficient, professional, or good at their jobs. We have had to call them every day because they don't return calls or emails. With two days until our move, we were still hammering out paperwork and fixing their many mistakes. If you were to ask a screenwriter to draw up the worst real estate agents possible, then he or she still wouldn't be able to come up with workers who are this bad.

Finding a home in London and going through the many formalities is often a pain as a stranger to Britain. The general process was pretty inflexible and annoying, lots of it out of the letting agencies direct control. Anscombes did what they could on their part to facilitate the process for me. Especially Alice Maynard, my main point of contact at Anscombes, was always available to help out. She was helpful, polite, charming, and replied to my many questions with endless patience even at quite impossible hours. Questions that I did not really know whom to ask, and that were going beyond what Ancombes would have to do for me in their official role were still answered by her, helping me a lot. She guided me through the many steps and parties involved in getting references checked, deposits settled, the property checked, helped out extremely swiftly when our heating was failing and we were sitting in the cold. Also I was very happy to find Anscombes also open their office on Saturday, making it possible for me to take care of things i cannot get sorted during the week.

Zara was very different to any other agent I contacted during my flathunting time: not only did she showed me the best flats I've seen (standards and value wise) but also she was on my side rather than the landlord's when negotiating. I felt like I was shown flats that tick the boxes from my requisite list - this is quite rare, usually I would be shown random flats that had not much to do with what I was looking for. She steadily got in contact with me but only when it was necessary, not spamming nor ignoring me. I highly recommend Anscombe and Ringland services.

I've just moved back to England after a long stay in the USA. My search for a flat in Highgate was greatly aided by Zara Wright and Alice Maynard of Anscombe and Ringland. Paul, Adam and Mat were a fantastic team - can't recommend them highly enough. Have bought/sold several flats/houses over the years, mostly in the Highgate area, and Paul and his team were without doubt the nicest, most helpful group of estate agents I have dealt with. Our sale wasn't the easiest, and we had several false starts due to the market conditions at the time, but Anscombe's worked hard to get every viewing they could, and were very thorough with feedback and follow through. Pleasure to deal with: as with most things in life, treat them well, and they will look after you in return!

This will be the first time I've given a review for a business/person I didn't end up using/instructing but I can't let the amazing work of Annie May go unnoticed. Annie proactively got in contact with me to enquire whether I was interested in letting my property which at the time I hadn't but Annie's experience, knowledge and consultative approach helped me prepare for rental. She introduced me to tradespeople and was huge support but as my circumstances changed I didn't end up renting for which I still feel a little guilty. Despite this, Annie continued to stay in contact to check how I/the property is going. I've never been contacted more by a business which ordinarily would be annoying but Annie gauges everything perfectly that it's a huge help and I'm thankful for her persistence. If/when my circumstances change again then I'll be in contact straight away. You're a massive credit to your employer.
