Googlethe experience from the beginning of the rent until getting the deposit back has been very badly managed.

GoogleFinding a home in London and going through the many formalities is often a pain as a stranger to Britain. The general process was pretty inflexible and annoying, lots of it out of the letting agencies direct control. Anscombes did what they could on their part to facilitate the process for me. Especially Alice Maynard, my main point of contact at Anscombes, was always available to help out. She was helpful, polite, charming, and replied to my many questions with endless patience even at quite impossible hours. Questions that I did not really know whom to ask, and that were going beyond what Ancombes would have to do for me in their official role were still answered by her, helping me a lot. She guided me through the many steps and parties involved in getting references checked, deposits settled, the property checked, helped out extremely swiftly when our heating was failing and we were sitting in the cold. Also I was very happy to find Anscombes also open their office on Saturday, making it possible for me to take care of things i cannot get sorted during the week.

GoogleVery helpful, particularly Adam and Matt. When a sale fell through, they worked very hard to find another buyer and save our moving on. My only reservation was we were helped by four people altogether and weren't always clear about their inter relationship. Even so, too many cooks was outweighed by always having someone available.

GoogleWorking with a new estate agent is always tricky. You need to have trust in the agent and that trust needs to be earned, it cannot be assumed. The experience of buying this flat could not have been better. Our negotiator was professional and open and always available to help move the sale along. GoogleZara was very different to any other agent I contacted during my flathunting time: not only did she showed me the best flats I've seen (standards and value wise) but also she was on my side rather than the landlord's when negotiating. I felt like I was shown flats that tick the boxes from my requisite list - this is quite rare, usually I would be shown random flats that had not much to do with what I was looking for. She steadily got in contact with me but only when it was necessary, not spamming nor ignoring me. I highly recommend Anscombe and Ringland services.

In the end we chose to go with another agent/company - and when telling negotiators they sometimes sound very disgruntled about that. Zara however was still very professional and nice, acknowledging our situation and made us feel warm towards using them again, should we want to look in the Highgate area. A refreshing attitude that needs to be highlighted. //d

GoogleI've just moved back to England after a long stay in the USA. My search for a flat in Highgate was greatly aided by Zara Wright and Alice Maynard of Anscombe and Ringland. Their courteous and efficient help made the whole experience a pleasant one and - more importantly - successful. Thanks to their assistance I have found just the right place in Highgate and I feel lucky to have Zara and Alice right there to answer any "moving in" questions I may have which they do - very patiently.

GoogleI have worked with Paul Constantine over the years and have successfully purchased two flats with his help. He is great to do business with - no nonsense, gets the job done and has a great sense of humour. It can be tough deciding which flat is the best choice for our needs, and Paul was always helpful and has proven to be spot on with his advice. we certainly hope to do business again in the near future. We are currently working with Jerome in the lettings department, who I am sure will deliver for us superb tenants too!
