By far the best letting agencies I've had in 5y..

I have changed letting agency I believe 3 times over 5y. And DJ has been by far the best. Tools are in place to reach out in case of requests, issues are treated timely, and I always got a feedback.I have been particularly satisfied with Amy Vass who has helped ++ with my end of tenancy (which not an easy one...).I am actually quite sad to leave the property; both DJ services and the owner were serious in their follow up ; and the flat was stunning. Thanks for everything DJ has covered for me in the last years.

My journey with DJ Alexander started when I attended a viewing with Ryan and I found that the place was a bit small for me. Ryan promised to get me something that will suit my specifications and truly he did. RYAN, thank you for being nice, professional and amazing. He followed me up and booked another viewing for me with Kieran, who turned out to be another great and exceptional person. Avoid at all costs. Acted like crooks. Drummed up spurious reasons to withhold money from our deposit charging an outrageous sum for "cleaning" and an administration charge for charging money from the deposit. We left the flat spotless. They also failed to follow government guidelines for returning the deposit taking months to even begin the process. Finally we received all the deposit back as we complained to the safety deposit scheme who asked for evidence which Stonehouse were clearly unable to provide. If you have the audacity to question their professionalism or dare to demand the money they rightfully owe you back, good luck getting landlord review from them! They're absolutely delightful when they're trying to pour you into a property and from that moment they are abysmal. Our property manager was less than useless. We would get in contact via the maintenance website *and* by email about problems, including but not limited to: A broken shower - took 5 visits from 4 different sets of tradesfolk who showed up, looked at it and left saying they need to order a part. When they finally had the right part (it was not a match) they installed it back-to-front. I'm not even sure how that's possible. It only provided 3 temperature settings instead of a sliding scale. They did fix it properly eventually but it was months, not days., A window in the living room that wouldn't close properly - took 3 months to fix and left us freezing during the winter months A leaky boiler - never fixed Giving a key that allowed access to the water valve - took 5 emails and a verbal confrontation upon their visit

I let with Stonehouse Lettings for around 5 years and overall they were a good letting agent to deal with. They had a reasonably good system for reporting maintenance and if anything needed chased up you just had to speak with them and they were receptive. The process for inspection visits was easy and quick and the staff were able to accommodate changes of date to work around when I was available. The staff were always friendly and polite and tried their best to help even in difficult situations. Our boiler gave up during the Christmas period and the team drove out to the property with heaters as the engineer couldn't fix it there and then. The team at Stonehouse were also supportive of you as a tenant as much as they were there for the landlord and would try and encourage improvements to the property, whether the landlord takes that on board is another matter but at least they tried. I wouldn't hesitate to use Stonehouse again if I was in the area.

They are letting the mafia

They are letting mafia. They will call everybody at the same time for viewing and it would be an auction. Everybody will try to befriend them and bid for paying more rent and hence more favor to them. On the face they will tell us that we forward all applications to the landlord and the landlord will select the tenant. But there is no transparency that they will send the application to the owner. I have viewed six properties with them, I have a full-time job and I didn't get any property as I haven't pitched for paying more rent.

Brilliant Experience

I recently moved house with DJ Alexander, taking up the rent of a new property. The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic. I was guided throughout the whole process and supported every step of the way. Laura Mctaggart, our application advisor, was always there by phone or email whenever I needed help or to ask a question. She does the utmost to help tenants, and is supportive throughout the entire experience, from beginning to end. I cannot recommend DJ Alexander, or Laura, enough!!

Do not care about tenants

They provided me with a disgracefully inaccurate move in report - especially regarding cleanliness. Then tried to get me to sign a document which said I would pay to get the property professionally cleaned (which was unlawful at the time).On move out attempted to charge me for things which I had brought to their attention on move in. Written and photographic evidence was clearly marked by myself on the move in report but they still ‘tried their luck’. They do not care about the tenant and only show loyalty to the landlord.
