Quantum are a very professional and highly competent company and know their business. I have myself worked in Estate Agency for a long time and therefore am qualified to recognise a good agent. I have used them for tenant find services for our 3 student lets in York for the last 8 years and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. I have 100% faith in Quantum and their Lettings team who have always found us tenants very quickly and their efficient service is second to none. Whoever these people are who have written bad reviews here, I can only say that they need to take a look at the real and honest reason why their experiences with this company turned out as they did! I am aware that the girls on the front desk are having to deal with difficult problems associated with tenants on a day to day basis, but I have to say that in their defence, the calibre and quality of students has dropped dramatically over the last couple of years and this brings with it a huge rise in associated problems, namely being damage and abuse of the property together with major ongoing cleaning issues. Whenever there has been a problem with any of our tenants or properties in the past, Quantum have always been a tower of support and have been able to offer good sound professional advice with a sensible approach. Their communication is honest and efficient and they will always highlight any problems that may jeopardise our ongoing student letting business. In further praise they are quick to tell landlords if their properties are overpriced and in need of upgrading, which of course is in favour of the tenants. I shall continue to use Quantum Lettings without hesitation whilst ever we let out property in York.

To be quite honest, I would give it no stars if I could. When I moved to York I was happy to meet so many great people - and most agents I have met have been great, which is rare for state agents. But not these people. The team range from cartoonishly incompetent to obsequiously malicious. Sure, landlords and landladies will profit and will be treated right (based on one of the other reviews) but if you are a prospective tenant, prepared to be treated as nothing but a meat bag with cash hanging off it. Never again. Please beware, for your own sake.

Rented with Quantum - they were always easy to get hold of, mostly easy to deal with and mostly dealt with problems with the upkeep of the house quickly. Lose a star for taking too much from our deposit for some cleaning that needed doing. They lose another because they charged our deposit for the blinds being dirty, when it was their worker who dirtied them when installing them. We argued this and they didn't budge.

Found them very easy to deal with when renting a flat from them. They made it simple to do everything via email or on the day of move in as I was moving from another city. While renting they were quick to fix any problems and very easy to get in contact with about anything. The moving out process was equally easy and they very swiftly returned our deposit.

The guy showing us around was upbeat and knowledgeable and when there was something he didn't know, he was straight on the phone to find out. Booked a viewing for this morning, drove 30 minutes to the property and booked a day off work especially to see it. I had to call them to ask how much longer they would be as they were already 15 minutes late and i was told they was no one coming and the appointment was canceled. This is not good estate agents.
