GoogleFantastic, friendly service. From the first viewing when we initially met Ben, we knew the whole process of the sale of our second home was in safe hands with Savills. Jennifer Kendrew was our daily point of contact with Savills York and we consider ourselves very lucky to have worked with her throughout this process. We received invaluable advice prior to putting the house on the market and throughout the sales process. Their photography company, who completed the images for both the sales brochure and internet images, were highly professional and worked wonders. There were a few hundred miles between our residence and the house we were selling, leading to its own challenges, but Jennifer could not have been more helpful and motivational. From the one and only open day, which Jennifer attended, several offers were received, culminating in the final sale. No mean feat in the current uncertain and challenging economic climate. Regardless of the issues to be discussed, Jennifer handled all communication with ourselves in a pro-active way as well as tricky negotiations with 3rd parties. Should a problem or delay arise, Jennifer always found a way to solve it with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend Jennifer and the Savills York team for anyone considering selling their house in the area.

TrustpilotAfter recently dealing the Broxboune
After recently dealing the Broxboune, Hertfordshire branch for my Son’s first mortgage with Ricky and the purchase of his first property, my Son & I are both very happy with the level of service and Ricky’s attention to detail was second to none. He certainly went above & beyond!Ricky was extremely helpful, as not only did he explain the entire mortgage process to my Son but he gave his time and expertise to secure my Son’s purchase. I would highly recommend his services to anyone and my Son will be highly recommending him to his friends.

GoogleMy family and I were very pleased with Savills, and Jennifer Kendrew in particular. She was enthusiastic, personable and proactive. Jennifer kept us informed at every stage, and kept chasing up, when necessary. She gave good advice, regarding the valuation of the property, and negotiating with the buyers. We would use Savills again.

TrustpilotGarbage wh brown Doncaster
What can I say about this company in Doncaster. I bought a ground floor flat and the flat above me only 2 high was bought by someone on a normal mortgage to let out, so far I've had a drug dealer illegal immigrants and now someone who's a self employed painter and decorator. Iv had these issues out with brown who say it's not their responsibility and to get local authorities out for the constant banging from upstairs, smoking canabis on my doorstep, fag burns in my window sill sat outside talking while 2am when I'm up every day at 6 for work. They are quite happy to take the rent percentage but ask them anything else and you've no chance. How does someone get away with storing paint in a flat and tools, I mean how would someone go on in a fire situation. All I can say is that they rent out to anyone they can regardless of the strain in other residents mental health. I wouldn't use these if they were the only ones in my area. Totally disgusting un professional attitude. I'm having to move now at 56 and I own it I don't need this garbage. Only put 1 star or it wouldn't let me review otherwise it would be minus 5.

TrustpilotAppalling costumer service.
Irang to try to book a viewing but all they were interested in was to offer me a broker and to get my email address. They said they will get in touch with the owner to arrange the viewing and will call me back. Nobody rang me so I called them again after two days and it was the same they said will sort out the viewing and call me back. Another two days have past and still no one got in touch about my inquiry. Appalling customer services.

TrustpilotStevenage/broxbourne branch
Stevenage/broxbourne branch , Went to see a property with my daughter in Broxbourne via the Broxbourne office and put an offer in to Rachel , two days later I find out that the area manager from Stevenage has now taken the sale of this property from Broxbourne . I increased my offer twice more with the Stevenage branch to be told by a person called grant that the client has made their decision despite me offering a higher price . I said to him I will offer a higher price to which he said even if you offer 100k more it won’t make a difference . It dont seem like they are acting in the best interest of their client , does it !!!

TrustpilotI am deeply disappointed with the…
I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by WHB, which has unfortunately fallen far from the reputable company it once was. Over the past two months, I have encountered a pattern of misinformation and delays regarding the return of deposits for students who are simply trying to secure housing and move forward with their lives. Despite repeated assurances that the deposit would be released soon, there has been no progress, leaving students and their families in a challenging position.Several parents, myself included, have escalated this matter to the Ombudsman due to the unfulfilled commitments and lack of transparency. I urge WHB to reflect on the impact of these actions on students and their families, who place their trust in the company.I sincerely hope that WHB takes this feedback seriously and works to regain the trust it once commanded in the industry.

TrustpilotWe made a cheeky offer on s property…
We made a cheeky offer on s property marketed with WH Brown which was accepted. One day before we were to exchange they call to say they have had a significantly higher offer. We pulled out as were not going to be bullied into paying more. The next day they call and say the buyer has pulled out. Completely underhand and dishonest. Where has this mystery buyer come from? We were lucky enough to be moving into my parents in the short term, however i feel they were hoping we would panic on the basis we would have no where to live. We were effectively in a no chain situation. The house has only now completed 6 months after this all arose, for a £1000 more than our accepted offer. Worth waiting for. Why were they accepting apparent offers so late in the chain and showing people the property when it had a buyer. Do not use. They go against every code of conduct for estate agents. Corrupt as they come.

TrustpilotDoncaster branch
Took over an hour to get through on the phone to arrange a viewing. Got to the viewing and 5 other people were booked in to view at the same time so felt rushed around the house. Estate agent there knew nothing about the property. Rang to put an offer in as we left and were told it would be put in when the rest of the viewings that day had finished, missed out on our dream house because they tried to start a bidding war

Trustpilottime wasting agents and sellers
Lesson number 1 : Do not view a house if the agent / seller is not giving basic details such as dimensions. Lack of photos is a no no. Yes we knew all of the above, but the property ticked a few boxesWe were alert to a pumping sound from the cellar, went down to investigate and found a cellar with ( presumably), a spring running underneath. House very delapidated. Was the condition in the price? Arguably not!!The house should have been advertized more honestly. Afterall, one can hardly get builders with full order books to quote for jobs, where one has no accessTotal waste of our time

TrustpilotWas pressurised into signing up to sell…
Was pressurised into signing up to sell my property after doing so I cancelled the agreement within 24 hours . I had paid a fee upfront which I was informed by the branch had been spent already on floor plans and photographer and EPC .The photographer rang me himself and apparently he wasn't aware he had been paid ! I wrote to head office and was informed that they had contacted the branch and instructed them to refund me in full .That was on 16th October now 26 November and no refund!! I would not recommend this company and avoid .

TrustpilotBarking
Barking: A very impolite and unhelpful property specifically Daivad and Gary. Daivad was very very rude and so unprofessional. I paid for the refereeing and my referencing went through however as per their words the landlord decided to not rent the flat to me after the referencing. They didn't pay my money back although my documents were not on fault. I would never recommend this property to anyone, as you have seen other reviews as well make sure you keep your distance from this property

TrustpilotNhants town centre branch bad! The Kingsley one far better
I think the amount of bad reviews is resounding. Mine is for Northampton town centre branch. Never ever again. They do not get you the best price for your house, they pitch you into accepting the price they think is correct, then don’t do any more viewings. Their sales negotiators are about 12 years old, have all the cliche sayings. They call you non stop for your house then once you’re on the market with them their contact ceases until they want a price reduction. They can certainly talk the talk but not walk the walk. On the flip side however the other Northampton branch is lovely, the employees their are calm and understanding. It’s a shame I couldn’t transfer my business to them.

TrustpilotDon’t even think about it...
I am a landord who made the mistake to take the full service with them. I thought they were good considering also how high their rates are but in reality they are the worst I have dealt with. Management is being done from a central office not in the same city and no one of course mentioned that when signing the contract. They have costed me more than 1k in repairs due to unacceptably late reactions after a water pipe leaked (they repaired it after a week and all the repairs walls, painting etc took them more than 3 months. Everything started moving after I gave notice to end the contract early (which is 2 months), when the manager took over. A real shame for such a big company. I made the mistake to ask them to do the check out as it was their job even after I ended early and they messed it so badly I regreted it. The only thing they are good at is finding you tenants but I am not sure I want to go back now after such a mess.

TrustpilotShocking agent!
Left my house sale stagnant for 4 weeks, no feedback, no updates. Lied to me and said all was fine when I called up despite there being clear issues financially hence why nothing had progressed. Within 4 weeks of it being sold I was still being told all was fine, sold sign was up, there was no memorandum of sale despite chasing it twice, there was no contact with my solicitor at all. Then after I went in and had to demand to know what was happening I got told that they didn't know and the Sales Progressor couldn't understand my frustration as it had only been a few days since a price was agreed, really I get it to 4 weeks was my response. I then asked for it to be put live immediately, an open house organised and the other people that offered to be contacted with some serious feedback ASAP, I also put a complaint in and asked for the Area Managers details. The sold sign is still up 10 days after the sale has fallen through with no sign of it coming down, it took a week for them to make it active online after I asked for it to be done and they lied and said it has been done when they called me up, they are refusing to give me the Area Managers details and are completely dismissive of the fact they left a sale for 4 weeks with no action and didn't tell me the buyer wasn't financially viable. The Branch Manager is trying to tell me they didn't know but her Mortgage Advisor and Sales Progressor have already told me they knew but were trying to sort it Lies lies lies! Mariella the Manager you should be ashamed, ashamed for being dismissive, ashamed for not giving me your Managers details hiding WH Brown Barnsley's errors. You should also be appalled to say to me that the open house still hasn't happened despite me asking over 10 days for one to be organised and now asking me if I want one when I told you 10 days ago I did, and also saying that the sold sign should have come down but didn't happen because you weren't there last week. Well you've been back a week and it still hasn't happened. I got told when I signed up be careful they are an office full of rookies, I trusted them from Mariella's own words and I'm not eating my own words.

TrustpilotWilliamhbrown
I have had a lovely experience with Williamhbrown; Gina Comerford has been very efficient and helpful. Overall there is a lack of communication throughout the office as I am due to move into a rental property next week. Yet someone from the company rang me today to ask if I was still looking for somewhere. This have been very stressful and frustrating as they should have known this information already.

TrustpilotSudbury branch - not impressed
The initial contact and marketing of the property was professional and efficient, despite various additonal payment schemes proposed which were barely disguised attempts to increase their commission. The so called liaison, post offer, was not consistent, not particularly helpful and seemed to be weighted in favour of the buyer rather than the seller paying the commission. Contact was by phone only with voicemail messages left containing no information just a request to call the agent's office - email would have been more convenient and enabled an audit trail.

TrustpilotShocking - do not use
This is in relation to Sowerby Bridge Branch Halifax, in particular Ed the Senior manager and Hannah who we have sadly dealt with. Please do not use this branch or company. They are simply the worst estate agent I have ever come across. In short, they lie, don't contact you or respond to your contact & try pressure/force you to use their recommended solicitor firm, who I'm sure they receive a payment from which they don't tell you, the buyer also experienced this pressure.if you don't use their solicitors they refuse to contact your solicitors or say they 'cannot contact them as you didn't use ours'.It has been 10 weeks since we or the buyer of the house had any contact from W H browns, they feel this is acceptable. If we hadn't have sorted things directly with the buyer ourselves the sale would have fallen through, 100%. They feel it is also ok to not respond to emails for over 10 weeks from the buyer who needed urgent help. They lie, they blame you for their mistakes and lack of service & also don't follow their own groups complaint procedure, ie don't advise you of your rights with the property ombudsman. Please do not use this company, use someone else who actually cares and doesn't just see it as there job to put your house on right move.

TrustpilotLeicester Branch Robert
Leicester Branch - I have had a very stressful time both selling and buying a new home. Robert kept me informed with my new home every step of the way. Nothing was too much hassle for him, he always tried to find resolutions and made me feel at ease with the process even though he was not getting paid for his time from me as I was the buyer. Thank you

TrustpilotIn my opinion,
In my opinion,Decided to use W H Brown based on there reputation of being the best in what they do. Got a place with a friend, was both our first time using w h brown and we viewed the place. We mentioned obvious repairs and cleaning that was meant to be done. When we got the keys and moved in we found the place hadn’t been cleaned and the repairs have not been done and they are expecting the tenants to deal with it. The property is not secure and the garden is a complete mess. Still nothing has been done about the repairs or the ongoing issues we are currently experiencing. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone, avoid like the plague.

TrustpilotRotherham branch
Rotherham branch - not even competent enough to manage the first basic step - turning up for an appointed viewing! While I was bombarded with texts & emails confirming & reminding me of my viewing appointment, this estate agent didn't even turn up for said viewing appointment. A representative turned up over 20 minutes later, only because I rang to say no one from WHB was there! And when the rep appeared, she didn't have the right key!!! Although very apologetic, no reason or explanation could be offered. In total, 1 hour of our time on a friday evening was wasted not viewing a property. Please, please, if you can't even get the basics right, get out of the property business.
