If you have a preconception of estate agents, you’ll find Savills York have rewritten the cliché. We just sold our cottage through Savills York and we couldn’t recommend them more highly. The team there have their finger firmly on the pulse of our local housing market. They took the stress out of the what could have been a roller coaster of a sale for us. Professional, great communication and a personal level of service. Their costs were very reasonable. The reassuring texts and friendly catch ups made the whole transaction stressless and they really kept the sales momentum when things got quiet. Even when they were off sick with Covid they were still calling us to check in. It doesn’t get much better than that. Thank you so much Jen, Ed and the team at York

I've had an absolutely fabulous experience with Savills, York. Tom Smith was so good with us, the entire situation felt different to the other agents we've met. No pressure, no pushing, and the ethos of finding you a property that you'll actually be happy with and fit in is brilliant. Other agencies felt much more like they were just trying to sell you a property whether or not it seemed like the right overall choice. I ended up waiting to buy due to personal circumstances but I did quite honestly tell Tom and his team that when I buy it'll most likely be through Savills. I'd much rather have friendly, no-pressure and understanding conversations with estate agents than feeling from day one that I'm in a pressure cooker. Savills is really upfront and honest about everything and makes sure you know and have thought about the different potential options.

We cant recommend Savills York enough- we dealt with Tom, and as first time buyers, purchasing a property in a different part of the country to where we were currently renting, his patience and expertise were invaluable. Savills provide first class service, but on a personal level- it was great dealing with Tom direct, who was always responsive to my (many) questions, and guided us through the process with a calm efficiency that I doubt we would have found elsewhere. Jennifer at Savills really pulled the stops out for us. After two failed estate sales through other estate agents Jennifer “nailed it”. She had good communication and you always felt she was being forthright and honest about every aspect of the process. This is rare in this current day and age and cannot be said about many other agents. If you want a good agent that follows up with clients and solicitors you will be lucky to get Jennifer. The sale was of my late mother’s house and made the process stress free. I’m sure she will find and sell a lot more desirable properties with the same gentle but firm skill.

Fantastic, friendly service. From the first viewing when we initially met Ben, we knew the whole process of the sale of our second home was in safe hands with Savills. Jennifer Kendrew was our daily point of contact with Savills York and we consider ourselves very lucky to have worked with her throughout this process. We received invaluable advice prior to putting the house on the market and throughout the sales process. Their photography company, who completed the images for both the sales brochure and internet images, were highly professional and worked wonders. There were a few hundred miles between our residence and the house we were selling, leading to its own challenges, but Jennifer could not have been more helpful and motivational. From the one and only open day, which Jennifer attended, several offers were received, culminating in the final sale. No mean feat in the current uncertain and challenging economic climate. Regardless of the issues to be discussed, Jennifer handled all communication with ourselves in a pro-active way as well as tricky negotiations with 3rd parties. Should a problem or delay arise, Jennifer always found a way to solve it with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. We would not hesitate to recommend Jennifer and the Savills York team for anyone considering selling their house in the area.
