Unprofessional manner received from the estate agent. I have booked two appointments slots to view two properties. The estate did not call to cancel the appointment and did not turn up. Hope you will continue treating customer unfairly like this. I ll take further actions as you are regulated company. Very bad experience with the Hunters in 304 Rookery Rd, Handsworth, Birmingham B21 9QG. Disgusting behaviour

This rating is for the Franchise of Hunters in OXFORD.Please avoid them if you dont want to lose your money and temper. They do not provide a decent and trustworthy service. They take your money and then show their real face.I was willing to rent a property wherein they said everything is fine and so they took the money and then when I went to visit the apartment they said that the Landlord wants a Guarantor which is totally unfair and unacceptable and also needed a 1 year contract. I was willing to agree a 1 yr contract but even then they wanted a Guarantor. I was failry new to this country at that time and so I could not get someone to sign this. The Hunters has not given me back the money for this nor showed me any other property. They simply closed my file and even went so far of blocking my emails in their system and not picking my calls. This is not a Legitimate company to deal with.

The Bradford Branch has to be the worst Estate Agents I have ever dealt with (and I have worked in property for 14 years). We dealt with Mo who was late to every appointment we had and showed no apology even when we were left waiting for 30 minutes for his arrival. After moving in and establishing the property was not safe to live in due to faulty electrics we contacted Hunters. We were told there was nothing they could do as it was tenant find only and have never been to the property. When we asked about Electrical Safety certificates due to our concerns we were told it's not a legal requirement so the landlord doesn't need one and they couldn't help further. If I had known they had never visited the property or completed any checks on the landlord I would not have been so trusting!After taking a substantial amount of money for referencing fees (which they admitted they change the costs of constantly depending on how desperate they are to rent a property) we have now been abandoned. Seen as the checks were so thorough on us why are there no checks of the property or landlord when we are handing over large sums of money? Tenants are left at risk and they don't seem to care.I would steer clear if I was you.

YellPlease avoid!
Hunters is by far the most overpriced letting agency in York from the tenant's point of view. Given what they charge as letting fee (a whopping 200 quid!), they barely deliver. They often forget what they've written in the contract and unless you're alert, be prepared to get ripped off. Moreover, despite the hefty letting fee, renewal fee etc, they charge for checking out and everything else that you can and cannot think of. As a tenant and most importantly if you are a student, please avoid.

Jay showed us the flat and he is very good at selling places to you the problems occur once you move in. No one picks up the phone, no maintenance carried out by Hunters who were managing it. When they do turn up they don’t complete the jobs and they lie all the time. When we left we had to fight hard to get our deposit as they made up lies on the deposit form. The flat was a mess because they didn’t fix the issues. Don’t rent from them they are terrible

I would not recommend using Hunters Darwen from my own personal experience with them on two occasions, I find them very unprofessional and unethical in their sales and marketing.They do not vet potential buyers correctly, they will push anyone to view your property even if its not the area or house style the potential buyers are looking for.The sales process is very aggressive, to me its just a total waste of my time and also the buyers time, I also think that the sales patter they give when valuing your property to gain business is very unprofessional and full of fudged conversion rates.They state they are number 1 in Darwen, which is totally incorrect, if you don't believe me contact Rightmove or Zoopla for the figures, they also list properties as sold and then remove them from sold again to fudge the figures.Have a look around the other agents in Darwen and see for yourself who as the winning awards for best agent over many years ......I would just like to say Karen the part owner is lovely to deal with and very helpful but some of the staff members are very petty and childish and think they own the company.I Would highly recommend staff training which is urgently needed :)

Trying to talk to someone is just ridiculous. No one can do anything and always passes to another person which leads to waiting for a callback that never happens. I called 8 times yesterday hit voicemail each time, was only calling as again the call I was promised didn’t happen.Very happy to be changing to working with another estate agent.

My original contract was with Thurman & Rye and was acquisitioned by Hunters part way through, but the staff remained the same. They had two flats to sell, so I offered them 3% if they sold both flats within the standard contract period as an incentive to market the properties. They didn’t market or sell a single flat. They just sat there and hoped for RightMove to create the footfall.Worse still was the brochuring of the properties, they couldn’t spell, got the wrong specs and they couldn’t draw the floor plans properly. Loads of promises and assurances from the start etc, but proved to be a load of hot air and horse.

DO NOT USE THIS ESTATE AGENT. On the 18.10.2018 I was appointed to see an apartment at 41 Mill West, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 3JH. (I hope the landlord is reading this)We agreed a time of 16:45 but due to traffic my sat nav advised I would be eleven minutes late. I called the office at 16:25 and after a few minutes of waiting for somebody to answer the telephone I was greeted. I advised the lady I was running late by eleven minutes and was told the agent showing me around cannot wait for me because she finishes at 5pm. I asked why would it be booked with only 15 minutes to spare for viewing and the reply I received from a manager at hunters was “you only get five minutes to view the property. The manager I had the displeasure of conversing with was named Nicola Thompson. She is rude, cocky and full of self importance with no regard for customer service or a potential tennents interest or the landlord of the property who contributes to her salary. I feel I had a lucky escape. I hope her superiors read this as well as the landlord who owns the property I was going to view. She needs to enroll in a customer service role and soon, personally I’d fire her but unfortunately this is what happens when you allow the inexperienced and possibly inadequate into a junior management role. I will post on every review site I can because of this women’s attitude with the hope her bosses react and teach her how to behave towards potential and existing customers.

TrustpilotI can't complain about these letting agents as I signed an agreement not too so that we could get some of our deposit back...
I can't tell you about my experience with a recent let as the only way I could get our deposit back was to agree not to complain about any aspect of the tenancy or the process of charges negotiation. I can tell you to be very careful about using this letting agent. They issue a notice to quit towards the end of each assured short hold tenancy rather than let the tenancy run-on so that they can raise the rent, knowing you are in situ and charge new fees for the tenancy agreement. Scrutinise your inventory and the check-out report in detail. Do not suggest you have any cause for complaint.

Hunters, Bridlington very poor. As a potential purchaser you ring them to ask basic questions about properties on their books, like 'how long is lease, how much is maintenance fee?' Etc. Not only do they not know answer, they don't bother getting back to you. Email them with queries via rightmove...they don't get back to you. Tell them you're interested in various properties and are cash buyer....they don't get back. As a seller i wouldn't waste my money and would opt for much cheaper, more efficient internet agent

Absolute waste of time. Had a viewing booked for 13:00, waited until 10 past and called due to them being late, they said they'd be another 10 minutes. Called me back 10 minutes later saying they'd overbooked and would now be 30 minutes later.All greed with no thought towards the customer at all. Will not be contacting again

We had so many issues in our rented property and they never came and sorted them due to this we moved out. We had left our house in a very clean state and only the problems we had when we moved in had been left they tried to take our full bond off us and more. They are horrific and I wouldn’t recommend using them and I certainly won’t be ever again.

I made enquiries about a house for sale in grimsby , and received a basic could not care less email , it did not answer my question, and hastened to add they have no properties in the price range ,I WONDER WHY????very poor customer service , never again with grimsby branch . They could not even find time to put my name on emails. Thats twice in 6 months they have failed .

People be alert avoid at all cost like covid. Do not deal with the bradford shipley branch previously Bentleys. Dishonest timewasters that just do not care. They lie and cheat to impress for their own gain. Mis advice vendors to sell to buyers who are friends/associates. Dont waste your time and emotions I did. Wish I and vendors had checked the previous reviews would not have wasted time and money.

I enquired about a house and have been added illegally to a mailing list. I complained and asked to be removed twice, was told they never added me (though the emails added me 1 day after my 1 ever enquiry to this company) and they have yet to remove me. Companies like this should not be trusted, they are taking your data and will spam you !
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
