We recently purchased a property that was marketed by Churchills. Everyone we have spoken to has been friendly and helpful. We had 2 viewings with different agents and both of them were professional and helpful in answering our questions and giving us a tour of the property while giving us the time to have a good look ourselves and not distracting us too much with constant talking. The process after making an offer was smooth, and Churchills were very helpful in allowing us further access to take potential trades to the property prior to the sale. During conveyancing we mainly dealt with Abbi, who was so helpful, friendly and reassuring throughout the whole process. Abbi did so much chasing of the vendor and their solicitor on our behalf and always seemed happy to help. I'm certain we'd still be waiting to complete now if it wasn't for all her efforts.

The sale went through very quickly and there were no issues from the estate agents at all. on move-in day we were able to pick up the keys easily after we were informed they were ready. The process was challenging in periods and at times we felt this was communicated as something we would have to expect being part of a chain. Excellent estate agency - handled the sale of a property for me which I was having to do remotely for a family member, were sensible and transparent on pricing of the property, and once we were on the market they were extremely responsive - the property was under offer within 6 weeks. I recently completed on my property which was marketed with Churchills, Bishopthorpe Road branch. I received an amazing and outstanding service from all the members of the team I dealt with. Dan conducted the viewing and was very professional, Rebecca was so warm and friendly. Paula was my sales progressor and she always offered a lot of support and was so patient with me during the long and at times frustrating conveyancing process. Always smiling, reassuring and kind. Buying our first home with Churchills has been great from start to finish! After buying our property through Churchill's previously, we decided to use them for the sale of our property and I cannot praise them enough! Jack was fantastic with the valuation of our property, and when viewings were arranged the team made sure they were in blocks, so as not to disrupt us too much. The team at Churchill's are always so friendly and there to help at the end of the phone, should you have any questions. We had Louella dealing with our sale, and she was absolutely fantastic, we had a few complications and she always chased around for answers and reassured us throughout the whole process, her professional and friendly manner shone through, she was honestly amazing! Absolutely fantastic Estate Agents. We went through them first with a sale we had to walk away from and they were always professional and reasonable, completely understanding our perspective and we never felt under any pressure. We then successfully bought our house through them and couldn’t be happier with the service received. We have found other Estate Agents in York at times dishonest and often far too much on the side of the vendor as opposed to the Churchill approach which seems to be a genuine and fair intermediary, keeping everything calm and smooth. I can only say that if it wasn't for me contacting them then i would have recieved no information about the progress on selling my house. After zero correspondance from them i engaged my right to cancel my contract only for them to breach that and in the end i had to contact them again to remove my house from the market days after this should have been done. Please be aware that the service is very poor so dont get sold the dream.

Churchills happily went the extra mile at every stage, from promptly finding me people to empty, decorate and clean the house beforehand to doing the final meter readings (using ladder, torch and camera) once sold. Their advice on setting a price and management of offers was excellent and I realised an excellent price in a short time and with minimum anxiety on my part. My heartfelt thanks to Louella, Jack and the others who helped me. I was particularly impressed by the fact that whoever I talked to they were right up to date with the latest developments in my case. They obviously make excellent use of their IT system to record and communicate with each other and thus with customers.
