I cannot speak highly enough of Damian and the team at Appealing Properties. The best thing we did as landlords was to switch to them a couple of years ago after having a pretty poor experience with one of the big names in York. Recently though, the team have gone above and beyond for us! We are landlords based abroad and found ourselves with the need for a tenant find just as we were about to welcome our new baby. Damian and the team were fantastic, looking after everything they could to try and make the process as smooth as possible for us at such a busy time. We had a tight turnaround and unfortunately the outgoing tenants caused some issues in the property which needed rectifying before the new ones moved in. Despite only being instructed for the tenant find service, Damian and the team were sympathetic to our situation and fantastic at helping me manage this from afar by recommending some contractors, meaning everything could be rectified within 24 hours! It later came to light that there was another substantial and expensive issue caused by the outgoing tenants which needed rectifying and a claim made against their deposit. Again Damian was a fantastic support in helping us put together the claim to the DPS, really going above and beyond with his invaluable knowledge. We really cannot thank the team enough for their professionalism, friendliness and just outright kindness during what was the trickiest tenant swap over we have encountered, and at the most inconvenient of times. Thank you for helping ease as much of the stress as you could!

This was the first time I had ever rented my property out to tenants. Damian and the team were so helpful, professional and friendly. They made my first time as a Landlord very easy, and answered any of my questions or worries. Setting up the property was made very simple, and they are very knowledgeable in all areas. They were great at finding suitable tenants, and always were fair with having both the tenants and landlords interests at heart no matter the situation. They were also very quick at replying to emails, as well as assisting with help of maintaining the property with their own contacts, as well as being transparent throughout the process. Isabel and the team at Appealing Properties are all absolutely lovely. Such a friendly team. Isabel made our viewing so relaxed and stress free and when we were selected to rent the property Isabel was there every step of the way to help us through the process. When we moved into the property unfortunately there were some issues with the cleanliness but Isabel immediately responded to our queries and arranged for a cleaner to attend ASAP to resolve the issue. Isabel responds to emails at all times of day bless her! Which is such an incredible service. We have had to raise some more work queries about the new house but I am sure the issues we have raised are in super safe hands and I know we have a great team to support us. We also had a lovely meeting with Amy whilst signing our documents. Such wonderful people.

I was showed a variety of properties within my remit and came up strong almost immediately. I've been in a rented apartment for a year and have found the team to be immediately responsive to all and any concerns. I really can't fault them. Damian and the team at Appealing Properties have been managing our flat in York for the last 8 years. Damian came highly recommended by the estate agent who acted for us in the purchase of our property and he has lived up to his reputation. He was extremely helpful when we were negotiating over the property, giving us free advice before we had committed to using him as an agent. Since then, the team has managed our property in a professional but also pleasantly personal manner. It has always been easy to make contact and they have kept us up-to-date with all the necessary information for our successful letting of the property. Any issues arising have been dealt with promptly and we have relied on the team's expertise to inform any decisions. They have found suitable tenants for us quickly, whilst efficiently organizing all the trades required to keep the flat in good order. Appealing properties rented a house to us for just under a year (we had to leave early due to extremely poor conditions). When we viewed the property we were aware it was very outdated cosmetically, but we were not made aware of any of the problems we would encounter living there. In 11 months we had to deal with; black mould everywhere, damp issues, faulty electrics, a gas leak that was bad enough the gas emergency service had to come, broken toilet/shower/taps, broken door handles, unsafe floorboards, broken heating, water leaks, broken fence, ant infestation, broken windows and much much more. All of these items took lots of calling, chasing up and a lot of time and effort to resolve (we waited months and months on end for certain jobs). Each time we rang to report another problem we were made to feel like a nuisance, rather than them being apologetic. The "workmen" they used were unprofessional (swearing/shouting at us, rummaging through our cupboards without permission and using our sponges/towels to 'clean up', hitting on me). We had around 50 visits from various "workmen" which caused an immense level of stress, especially as these could have been condensed into fewer trips massively. During the winter months the damp conditions and poor insulation meant the house was continuously below 12 degrees - even with the heating on all day. They didnt listen when I reported large amounts of black mould, despite it making us seriously unwell. We were disappointed with how Appealing Properties dealt with the whole tenancy, and how they even deemed the property fit to rent in the first place. We were paying just under £1000 to live in such appalling conditions. I still wonder how the house passed their "checks". Particularly as the gas/electrics had supposedly been checked, yet we had faulty electrics and two gas leaks shortly after moving in. I would avoid at all costs.

In the beginning Appealing Properties and their agents where incredible! They were helpful and found uns a great house to live in. Sadly as soon as we were about to move out they weren't good anymore. Finally they deducted 163£ for two lightbulbs and aperently a bit of paint. They didn't mentioned anything while the final visit! Also the house was anyway badly painted from the beginning and not very clean. Can't recommend
