We couldn’t be more happy with our experience from Fox and Sons. Being first time buyers, we were unsure of the process and steps that would be taken to eventually hand us our keys. Their Mortgage advisor, Rob, was beyond helpful to us, going beyond his hours to help us with anything that we needed. He was professional, with expert advice, whilst maintaining a level of causal service that calmed us and helped us to interact more with each step. Each agent that showed us around various properties was knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. We would highly recommend Fox and Sons services, furthermore highly recommending Rob for advice or expertise!

Lacking in customer service for neurodiversity

I've recently started looking for a property to buy. Being neurodivergent, I have requested all correspondence be via email from all letting agents, so i can orgabise and manage a very overwhelming process. Unfortunately, Fox and Sons (brighton) seemed to have an issue with this and even so I repeatedly requested email correspondence, I was told that 'phone calls would be easier for both of us'.

Arranged viewing, it was raining, we got early but that’s our problem. Then a minute before the arranged time a young guy got out of the car parked right in front of us. He’s from Fox & Sons. He’s been waiting in his car whole time knowing we were waiting outside the property in the rain. He could’ve said like, sorry we can’t show till the arranged time then we’d walk back to our car and wait.

I own a small property company based in the Dorset/Somerset area and I have recently bought two properties through fox and sons in Yeovil. The sales team were excellent so I decided to use the lettings team to deal with my tenancy requirements for these, along with a third property that I own. I really couldn't recommend them highly enough. Amber is definitely worthy of a special mention, she went above and beyond to get my tenants in on time, despite some frustrating challenges. If Google had 6 Stars, that's what they'd be getting!

Avoid F&S conveyancing

Do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing firm. I’m not a Fox & Sons customer but our buyer is (as that is their agent) and they’ve held up our chain for months. We agreed a sale in October 2024, it was discovered in January 2025 that our buyer needed an amendment to their lease on their leasehold property before they could sell it (a deed of variation) three months later to today, only now has the Fox & Sons conveyancing firm read the leases properly and determined what they need to do and there is still no end in sight. All in our chain has needlessly been put to extra stamp duty cost, the cost of arranging a new mortgage offer because previous ones have expired, we’ve had houses in the chain being re marketed, causing further stress. Our solicitor told me today that they have three chains including ours that are all stuck and going nowhere due to a deed of variation, and guess what, every one of those chains has the same Fox & Sons conveyancing firm handling the deed of variation. They clearly don’t know what they’re doing and I would suggest unless you want to waste your money on delays, and be stressed beyond belief, do not use Fox & Sons in house conveyancing. I don’t normally post reviews, if I get bad service, I simply don’t go back. However, on this occasion, I’m getting bad service that is costing me and others in our chain more money, and there is nothing I can do about it.
