The Cambridge team at Sharman Quinney have just sold our house, great work all the way. We did have a rough start as our buyers buyer fell through twice which delayed things but the team kept me informed, agreed to remarketing to reach a sale. Big thanks to Jack, Katie & all involved.

GoogleI cannot thank the team at Yaxley enough for their dedication to the sale of my property. From the very beginning to the completion, communication was outstanding. The marketing of my property was amazing and sold within 5 days of going on the market. I cannot recommend them enough for what they did for me. I had to give it 1 star as you can’t write a review otherwise, so in reality I give them 0 stars!! This company is an absolute sham!! Since the 10th July 2024 my elderly farther has been without hot water and heating, he is boiling pans and the kettle to wash his pots and pans, and carrying boiling water upstairs so he can have some kind of a wash!!! This is absolutely ridiculous disgusting and unacceptable, this company don’t give a fig, all you get is ‘oh, I’ve only just been given this case’ or ‘we are trying to contact the landlord’, this is utter rubbish.Duty of care, none existent !! If you are a landlord I advise you stay away from this farse of a company and seeking renting or selling elsewhere, if you were looking to rent or buy, forget it, stay as far away from this …( I can’t even call it a company)… array of people that do or don’t answer phones or emails under the name of sharman Quinny. My 0 stars stands firm! Avoid at all costs.

GoogleFantastic service from Jo and kaite and the rest of the Yaxley team. After a night mare were the house we was buying pulled out, then our buyer pulling out, leaving us in the right at the beginning again. Amazingly Jo worked her magic and my house was sold again on the same day the buyer pulled. And my money for the searches on the 1st house we was buying was refunded ( £350) which we thought this was lost!! Fantastic service, very hard working. Also amazing patience (especially dealing with me) Thank you all so much Michael and Laura Munns

FacebookToday I was amased. Feedback from a viewing of my property was "it is a lovely property, but because it has no garage, it's not what I want". But what is so tragic about the 8 months that SQ had my property on their books and a handful of viewings, is that this was the most responsive of all. And what was Amazing about this? SQ description of the property "there is also a garage in a block with power and light with an electric up and over door"

I wouldn’t give them a star. Service for rental appalling. No communication no reports sent till end of tenancy. House was left disgusting. They didn’t do reports or follow up on anything. Jay sat on mobile all time while Valentino made excuses for everything they got paid to manage!!!! JOKE

GoogleAfter a long house sale... Jo and the team remained positive and supportive with the processes explaining the strategies and rationale. I had over 15 viewings on one day, and five offers when the house initially went on the market. They quickly found a new buyers after issues in the downward chain and we have since completed in 3 months. Jo is an asset to the branch!

Please avoid using Sharman Quinney under any circumstances. If I could have given no stars I would have, there is nothing good that can be said about this agency. It's honestly the worst agency I have ever come across and I've been in the industry myself for 14 years now. They cannot even carry out basic due diligence when advertising a property so be prepared to be misinformed. One property was advertised as both freehold and leasehold, when we phoned to check we were told it was freehold, but it turned out through our solicitor it did have a lease too. They also didn't know the seller was only selling with a limited title not a full one, something that again only came to light through our solicitor six months later, a complete waste of everyone's time that could have been avoided if Sharman Quinney could be bothered to get to know the sellers and the houses they are selling better. The property we eventually ended up buying was advertised as having allocated off road parking. When we phoned to check this we were told this was definitely correct. Common sense told us this didn't seem right as none of the properties there had parking and the space was no where near the house! It turned out this was not the case at all and there was no parking with the house. It no longer fitted our needs however as this all happen several weeks down the line, and we were due to be made homeless in a matter of weeks, we simple had no choice but to proceed. Sharman Quinney's response to this was 'we take the word of our sellers' so it seems they will believe anything you tell them as a seller, despite the fact common sense should have made any competent agent question the parking situation in this case. Sharman quinney are the only agency I know to get away with not carrying out basic due diligence. You will never be able to get hold of anyone at the branch, we had to phone another branch on many occasions to get them to contact the Shelford office for us, they don't reply to any phone calls or emails. They have a turn over of staff every few weeks, you are not told when someone is leaving nor introduced to someone new starting. The person starting will also have no clue what's going on with the sale so be prepared to constantly have to repeat yourself. They do not bother giving you any updates or chase a sale for you, complete laziness. They will be sitting on their personal mobile phones everytime you drive past. When we raised a complaint about their shortfallings and appalling service, we didn't get a single apology. How this agency is still running honestly baffles me, at the very least the Shelford branch should not be allowed to continue practicing.

GoogleI have had a very good experience both buying and selling a property with Sharman Quinney Yaxley. They always take your call and get back to you promptly with info and updates. They know their market extremely well and have a clear understanding of what their customers want. A nice small friendly team who know their stuff, communicate well and get the result you want. Would engage them again.
